Hi there

I have two issues. Assistance with either would be much appreciated.

1. My Toyota Corolla 92 model is making a loud squealing noise when I am slowing down (or moving down the gears), or when I turn the engine off. When I am in neutral, after about 5-10 seconds, the noise disappears. It sounded like a fan belt issue, however after I had all new fan belts installed it still continues to make the sound. I notice that when I have had the A/C on and then I turn it off, it makes the problems worse. I took it to the mechanic and he was unable to locate the issue. Any suggestions?

2. I have noticed that I have a moderate oil leak. Does anyone know what could cause this? How to fix it? Whether these cars are prone to oil leaks?

Thanks very much, I hope you can help!!

I would say with item 1. it is the cranshaft pulley, the bearings are most likely worn.

With item 2., you will need to be more specific of the area where the oil leak is ocurring.
