WTB: Corolla stock head unit

Hi all,

I am in need of a replacement stock stereo head unit from an 09 Corolla Ascent (or equivelent).

I'm located in Adelaide and would prefer to pickup, however will pay for postage if necessary.

Alternatively, if anyone knows how to get the code for my existing one. That would also be great. (Tried last digits of serial? ^ the one in the book & asked the dealership... no dice.

I'm surprised that the dealer didn't have it. A lot of the time I have found that dealers do have info like this but they just don't know it. The PIN's can also be read from the head unit from one of the chips, I don't know what one but if your not in any big hurry I can have a look for you. I can also give the dealer a try for you, I do a bit of work for them so they might be a bit more helpful.

If I recall when I had a PIN issue with my Hilux the service center told me that can remove the unit from the car and read the PIN using some special equipment they have. Cost was around $80 or so.

If you have no love there, I have just removed my 2008 Hilux stereo to fit an aftermarket GPS, standard Toyota size.
