Hey guys, newb here

Ive got a celica '05 and just recently brought a celica TRD wing. Ive already got it placed on but im having issues with wiring the brake light on the TRD wing.

Im using

http://www.celicahobby.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/18549/Spoiler-TRD-Adjustable-Rear-Wing

as a guide 2 how 2 instal it. But the issue is that i cant pull out the 8 pin socket. So i was wondering if it is 'ok' to cut the green-white wire on brake light on the car and connect it to the green-white wire on the 8 pin socket 1.

I got 2 do this so i can connect my brake light onto the socket provided behind the number plate. And the guide says that i have 2 change the green-white wire around.

this part is where i dont know if i have 2 do it like they said, or if i can do it like ive said,

f) Lift the terminal retainer on both connectors. You will need to remove some of the foam to access the retainer.

g) To remove a pin, slide the tool in between the pin and the locking lug from the connection side of the connector. Pull the wire out. To install a pin, simply slide the pin in from the wire side of the connector until it locks.

h) Remove the Green-White wire from the 8pin connector. Remove the Green-White wire from the 2 pin connector and insert this wire into the 8 pin connector. Insert the other wire into the 2 pin connector.

Lemme know bout this cus im in a pinch >_<

Welcome Chris

Wires are not always colour coded correctly.

You might need a multimeter to find which wire is for what function.

If you don't have a multimeter ***** smiths have a small cheap one for just $7 that is okay for basic car stuff.
