I wanted to change from stock tag light to a blue one is this legal?

Been searching all over the net and can't find squat :(

Any info is greatly appreciated b4 I spend 15 on a light for a fine of possibly 10 times as much :(

Illegal. Blue lights are reserved for police and emergency vehicles.

Is it still finable to have one mounted to a switch?

So can drive normally with white but blue for at home or private use?

Saw a nice job on a camry with carbon wrap can't remember where.
