Hi,

I've got all the symptoms of needing to replace my lower ball joints (43340A & 43330K)

Just wondering if anyone's got a DIY guide,

SP28 and SP29 say to separate the brakes, rotors, axle, wheel bearings, brake dust cover, axle bearings and steering knuckle! (basically half of the front suspension)

I'm hoping the job isn't going to be as technical as the workbook states. Hopefully someone can advise if I can simply raise the car, turn the steering to the opposite side I'm working on, remove tyre, calliper and rotor then rest the hub on a jack, and get to the ball joint from this position.

Any suggestion would be great! in return I'll document every step for the FAQ.

Note: Called Toyota @ 10am $196 per lower ball joint. $392 for the LHS & RHS. and $412 to fit em. from memory there are many Ultra High Quality Lower ball joints in the market,

Here, Here & Here Genuine from Australia Here!

I really feel sorry for people who buy spare parts through Toyota!

Going to jump onto ebay and order the USA Raybestos Polyurethane Ball Joint, and bearings, guessing there's 1hr labour each side.
