2004 stivo making creaky sounds

Recommended Posts

Hey guys I recently just had my car fixed cause I had a car accident and ever since getting it back it makes these really creeky noises like the sound of someone walking on floor boards. It's really annoying and happens when Im slowly turning and sometimes when I let out the clutch and brake. Sounds like my car is about to fall apart. It sounds like it's coming from the centre of my car. Even when I sit in my car seat it makes a sort of creeky sound like old springs on a bed mattress. I don't think I can describe it any better lol. What could this noise be. I don't want to fork out money to see what it is so I thought I'd try here first.

Cheers

Umm im not sure about the braking and clutching and all that, but with sitting on the seat...maybe the bolts holding the rails down? Mine did that a while back, they were a bit loose. But as a precaution I soaked it in WD-40 and it was fine.

it sounds like the whole car though like it's coming from underneath. I'm going to go for a drive now and then Ill see what sounds it makes.

What did they replace in the accident ?

Check your centre crossmember is right

It goes from the back to the front, steering rack to front radiator support..

Check mounts and bolts and any other things that may have been touched to fix it

Check pipes like ur ac pipes and ps pipes including the oil cooler (under driver side engine mount) check pipe support brackets and anything u can see !!
