Hi all, my very first post. I have a 1990 wombat tarago and went to change wheels on my paragon and have broken 3 wheel studs on the passenger front. 1 on the drivers side front and a couple on the back seem loose and spin when I go to tighten the wheel up, anyone else had any of these troubles?

Cheers

Hi all, lucky only ONE front passenger side wheel stud broke on my 1993 Tarago and I notice that most of the wheel studs were very dry , some were tight to undo. In the past on other cars with some success I would undo the wheel nut 1/2 turn and reverse 1/4 turn until it was easy to undo. When it comes to putting the wheel nuts back 1) apply some anti-seize compound such as Loctite Heavy Duty Anti-Seize on the thread of the stud and nut 2) Preferably use Torque wrench to tighten the nut to 100Nm. These two steps should help make it easier to remove the nut in future and reduce bolts and studs breakage.

This method can be use on other size nuts and bolts as well. Enjoy !
