Fine for not turning on headlights

Hey guys, my dad got fined last week for not turning on his headlights.

I'm not here to ask whether he should pay the fine or not.

But he was fined $100 and given 3 demerit points?

Is that like legit, I did some research and NSW only get $99 and 1 demerit point

Can anyone confirm that the amount of $100 and 3 DPs are correct?

Each State and Territory have their own penalties and demerit points system for traffic offences. You would need to contact or visit the website of your fathers State Authority to find the answer.

I've looked on our WA police website and some other government sites but found nothing

They don't seem to have it on their website. You are probably better off making a phone call. Not everything can be found online.
