Driving to no where,

Apart from the inherent risk of the tarago falling off the stands and driving through the end of the garage, is there any issue with having the front wheels lifted off the ground and removed and running the Tarago in gear up to a high speed, say 100km/h.

It’s a 2007 model, would the gear box jump to 4th gear quickly and just stay there?

Thanks.

Good question Jeffy, a friend of mine looks like he's not going to make the nominated Klm for his leased car and will be hit with a FBT liability if he can't make the nominated distance so I suggested just running it on the stands might get him there without having to drive to Qld and back. I can't see this being a problem legally but just concerned about the damage if any to his motor etc.

I can't see any major reason this would fail... I would be inclined to lift the whole vehicle up on jack stands and ensure its VERY secure... seems kind of dodgy though.
