Hi everyone :)

I'm pretty much clueless when it comes to cars so I thought I'd ask for some much needed advice!

I own a 2003 Toyota echo hatchback which came with the standard stereo system when purchased.

I may have made a big mistake by rushing into the sales at JB HI FI..

All I want to know is if anything I did buy is actually going to fit into my echo lol.

Here's what I purchased:

  • Pioneer DEH-1350MPG 50W Car CD Player
  • Pioneer TS-G1644R 16cm 2-Way Coaxial Speakers
  • Pioneer TSWX303 12" 1200 Watt Sub In Box

Thank you!

You will need a set of 'ears' and probably a pocket (if the head unit is single din) to fit it in the car.

You will also need a wiring harness adapter.

You will also need a wiring kit for the sub (power wires, RCA cables, remote wire, various lugs and fittings)

Those speakers are 6.2in which probably wont easily fit in the doors (I have 5in jaycar splits in the front doors if my yaris, they were about the limit of what would fit without any modification)

If you don't know what you are doing, or have never fitted a car stereo before I suggest you get it fitted professionally, or at least get a mate who does know to do it.
