The 2012 hard cover has a latch at 7 o'clock, but it doesn't have a hole to hang a pad lock, is there an ingenious way to secure it?

You should have a 2nd key because the tyre/wheel will be locked to the vehicle...... so technically someone could nick off with your cover, but not the tyre/wheel.... Thats what my 2012 Altitude SE AWD has any how :)

You cannot open the spare tyre cover when the door is closed so I don't know why you want to put a padlock on it.
