Hi All,

Picking up up new Sahara next week, and want to fit roof rails, have see the copies on ebay, anyone have any experience with them? Are they as good as the Toyota originals which are a ridiculous 10 times as expensive. Any info would be useful.

Thanks

Thanks Guys,

Yes it was roof rails not roof racks that I was interested in. I bought the copy product, didn't fit perfectly and had to massage it a bit to make it fit, still not perfect but passable. Toyota version at over $2000 is still not worth it, even if they did fit perfectly first time.

I'm after LC200 roof rails too, but Toyota Dealer in Deer Park (VIC)

says Toyota doesn’t make roof rails anymore for LC200. Can you pl let me know

the Toyota part number. also pl let me know where you bought the aftermarket

roof rails.

Thanks in advance

Hi Mark1234,

Sorry for late reply, only just got back to this, so only just picked it up today. I don't know the Toyota part number but do know the dealers quoted about $2200 for the roof rails. I bought mine through Ebay from Killa Concepts, but note my issues I had, but to be fair he did everything possible to resolve the issues. I hope this helps.

Cheers

I just got a Baja roof basket for mine for $650. All one piece, galvanised and powder coated. Looks unreal and it's strong as nails.

A mate bought a cheapo from Tigerz11 and it dropped rust stains all down the side of his 80 series. If you buy steel, make sure it's galvanised!
