Hi Guys,

I need advice in regards to which oil and coolant I should use for my car?

My car is bought from a private seller who was the first owner. The car specifications are as follows:

2009 Toyota Corolla Ascent Sedan - Automatic.

Would be highly obliged if you can guide me/advice me.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Cardriver.

You can use any coolant as long as you stick to that brand all the time as you shouldn't mix. Most companies who win the right to use their oils and coolant and have that in their service booklet. Castrol is the one I always used as you can mix it up 50 50 and have 10lts of it. The main reason why I use Castrol is you can buy it any where.

Hope this helps.

Hi John,

Correct me if I am wrong I believe as per my reading that Coolant that manufacturer fill's in last for 10 years/160,000KM's is that true? Engine oil is that something evaporate as we drive? Is there any specific brand of castrol oil would you recommend?

Kindly advice.
