Hi all,

I have an unusual problem with my 1992 automatic toyota tarago. I am able to start the engine and the engine is working fine, I have a problem when I engage the drive gears or reverse. Simply the car does not move it seems that the gears are not enagaging with the engine. If I turn the vehicle off and leave it off for say a minute or so then turn it back on again the forward drive gears seem to work but only for approx 100-200 metres but not with much acceleration and then something odd happens the gears seem to disengage and no acceleration or use of any of the drive gears. Cannot reverse and if I could only for a short distance of 10 metres.

If Someone can offer advice or suggestions or aware of the underlying issue your feedback would be appreciated. I have been told it could a computer "glitch" ... I am not sure...

Cheers

Chris
