hi all im new to the forum and have a 1992 tarago

i had my tarago in for a coil problem a few weeks ago and now from time to time both the oil change and the charging lights will come on together rev the car and they go out seems like a lose wire

but where to look ? the batt is new and does not seem to be not charging

i would take it back but the mech where i took it last time he replaced the computer and after 2 weeks found out it was the coil gone :) well not so funny $1500 later

any thoughts where i should look

Hi, not sure if you have the problem fixed, but have you checked if the alternator is charging the system? Low voltage can cause ECU glitches. Your alternator might be busted and not giving enough charge to run and charge the battery at the same time. Could be loose belt, stuffed regulator or alternator totally dead.

It could be as simple as a loose earth some where in the engine bay, something like earth to engine block/chassis.
