I have a new land cruiser 76 series wagon, I also purchased a vdo cruise to fit to it, but the dealer I purchased the vehicle from said not to fit it as it's non genuine but I'm wondering if he is just trying for me to buy a new one from him anyone got any more info on this before I fit it.

Hi Peter,

If you try to buy it from Toyota they will send it down the road & have an aftermarket one fitted is what I was told when I picked up my car - IE: they apparently do not have a genuine Toyota CC for this vehicle....

I have an Autron which was rather expensive but I have to say its excellent. I've had CC's on every car since 1990 & the older ones usually have a "lag" on hills. The Autron with the V8 has no lag & seriously it can keep a more accurate speed than I can - it doesn't waver at all.

Sorry haven't owned a VDO unit but I believe they are ok.

If you search a few of the other forums around you might find some info
