I have a 2014 Prodigy with fewer than 500 k on the dial. The car occasionally hesitates from a slow start on level ground.

The effect is like momentary fuel starvation combined with a slight application of the brakes. The fault cures itself quickly and is intermittent.

The dealer has looked at all on-board diagnostics and can't find any problem. And, needless to say, the problem is non-existent once the car is road tested by the service centre.

Any form member ideas before I write a long letter to Toyota?

You could try removing the negative terminal for 10 minutes to reset the ECU and try again. Worth a shot ;)

Wait did I read this correcty " 2014 Prodigy with fewer than 500 k on the dial"? You already racked up 500,000 kms or did you actually mean 500 kms?

Yes as the above said, give resetting ECU a go.
