When my headlights are on, all four tail lights turn on like this

https://www.flickr.com/photos/8913726@N02/6594936681

But before I took my car in for a service, only the lights on the boot lid (the bigger ones next to the reverse lights) turned on while the smaller ones remained off unless I put my foot on the brake. So how can I rewire them correctly so that the smaller lights only come on when I brake? I'm hoping it won't be too difficult to fix. Thanks.

Chances are you had two blown bulbs that got fixed at the service :P

All four tail-lights should be on when you have the headlights on, the outer ones go brighter when you hit the brakes (either dual-filament bulbs or seperate bulbs, I can't remember which).

That reminds me, got the change the tail-light globes on our SXV20 daily hack this weekend, left-hand outer tail-light is blown (so only 3 tail-lights come on but both brake lights work fully).
