The other day my 2000 Echo started missing, she would run fine until after about 5 mins. After that, it would run like it was only running on two or 3 cylinders. Then it really got bad! She started dieing on me.Just like u turned the key off. Before coming to a complete rest I turned the key all the way off and back on and she ran for 30 seconds or so--u would have to turn her all the way off--back 2 clicks--one click back would not work and this is the way I got her back home--about 7 miles turning her on and off. Any Help would be very much appreciated!! --It is my only way of going. Now she will only run for 5-10 sec. before going dead. Its like the computer is cutting her off and not letting her run at all. I have checked everything I can think of. I don't have the money to take her to a shop! I have been out of work for a year now due to Obama and health problems--Can u please help me?I have not tried ether yet, .tango_face_smile.png
Let me go ahead and ask u about that. If ether keeps it running that
would point to a fuel pump problem, Right? If not .. I'm thinking of a
new ignition switch ? Also. Can a bad oxygen sensor cause an echo not to
run. What a bout one coil. Would one bad coil cause a echo not too run.
The code I ran at Auto Zone said a bad ox and #4
coil was miss firing. Also it will run for 5 or so sec.s and if u can
turn it all the way off and back on again before it completely gos dead,
it will run for another 5 or so sec.s. I cant believe im the only one
who has had this happen to them out of this whole web site but my whole
life has been like that.
One more ? can the cars
computer be reset.
