Hey guys, I was 4wding the other day with a couple of mates when I realised the bolts that connected the starter motor to the fly wheel had come loose so I couldnt start my car, I removed the air filter fully to get to it so I could re do the bolts and as I completed that I Put the air filter back on and connected everything back on as should but I experienced a lot of power loss, the filter is a little dirty and there was air being sucked out the connection between the air filter and the pipe that sucks the air from outside the car so I covered it in Duct tape to see if that was it (too much air or not enough) and it still had not much power, I own a 3L Diesel 2001 Dual Cab Hilux and was wondering if anyone could help me

Are you sure the starter motor is disengaging? remove airfilter box and check for blockage/damage right down tp the valves. do compression test--your motor may have ingested something? post results pls.
