I've got a 2012 GLI V6 tarago and tried to install parking sensors by myself. The difficulty that I'm having is to find the power cable for reverse light since the bulb is in the rear door rather than near the boot.

Does anyone have the diy experience? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi ciasom

The lights and wiring are in the back door.

From there the wires go through the rubber boot at the top of the door and some of the wiress then travel down the left side of the cargo area.

I accessed the cables (some time ago now) behind the left hand cargo area trim panels so as to wire up my towbar.

They are all there - just take care and patience as the trim can be a bit fiddly to remove.

Use a multimeter to check which wire is reverse (I don't remember the cable colour).

Make sure all the other lights are off when testing.

All the best.

Thanks for your reply, Paul.

I failed to find out the cables and then I had someone install the sensors some time ago, paid for $50.
