The oil light stays on for like 20-30secs after startup until engine begins to warm up. Engine appears to run fine, drives fine, no apparent knocking or other noises. Although 84 model, is super-low kays, only 110K kms.

My mate thinks it might be a faulty sensor as otherwise oil system appears OK (recent filter, good level, good colour) but I'm worried it might be the oil pump about to fail.

Does anyone know if a replacement sensor is readily or easily available? [Sunday, so can't ask Toyota..]

Anyone had this experience and resolved it?

Any idea how to check if the oil pump is failing?

And finally, what would a mechanic charge to replace oil pump (as I can't do mech work myself)?
