Front Camera question

My new Kluger has a black transparent line in the screen when using the front camera. I am told this is normal but it doesn’t make sense. Anyone know about this? A picture of my screen is attached.

Check the front camera, it might only be a clear plastic protective sleeve on the camera eye used for protection whilst transporting and that black you see is probably the tab you pull on to remove it

      Snapping wheel and axle studs

      Put a set of standard wheels on it and your problem will disappear. It is critical that the hole in the wheel centre is a snug fit on the axle boss (without wheel nuts fitted). If your wheels are sloppy on the axle boss this allows excess force on your wheel studs and they will break, as yours are doing. If you are unsure of what to do, go to a reputable tyre shop and get assistance.

      2zz idle / roughness when accelerating past 3k

      Hey everyone was hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction with this issue I've been facing for a while now. My Celica's idle will drop down to almost 200rpm when stationery after hitting operating temperature. Pretty much feels like it's about to stall out but never actually does. When taking off from a set of lights it almost feels like it hesitates or is down on power and then all of a sudden it lurches forward and gets a boost in power again. Then again around 1,500-3,000rpm it feels down on power and in what I can only describe in the engine feeling scratchy. Past 3,000 rpm it gets a little boost in power again but still definitely feels down on power compared to what it used to be and still has that roughness. Note lift is also not working at the moment but I have changed the lift bolts, planning on cleaning the VVT and VVTL-i OCV's New engine mounts have been installed I changed the MAF sensor about 4 years ago albeit not OEM. After doing some research my main ideas now would be a New MAF this time OEM, TPS, IACV or Coil Packs (Changed plugs 50,000km ago) Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! :)

      Thanks, looks like manufacturer can only replace. I've reached out to my Toyota dealer (where I purchased) directly.

      2003 ln167 hilux 5le engine oil leak

      Oil leaking from above timing cover/ crank seal, behind alternator, there is a lot of oil so it's hard to tell where it's coming from, head gasket is clean oil starts from underneath exhaust manifold, any help would be much appreciated, cheers

      Missing compliance plate post accident repair - 5+ years ago

      Hi all, I've got a 2014 Kluger - just going through pink slip check recently and they mentioned the compliance plate was missing. He asked if the car had been in an accident and it was about 5years ago now. He said I'm screwed if I let it lapse rego and/or attempt selling it. How does one get a replacement compliance plate/sticker? Thanks in advance

      Steering wheels to fit 2005 Hilux Single Cab 2wd Ute

      I was just wondering if anyone could please tell me if I can fit a sports or other slightly smaller diameter steering wheel on my 2005 Hilux single cab Workmate Ute (2.7l 2wd). I find the factory wheel is too big and I have been having trouble finding a sports wheel that will fit my ute.

      Android auto

      For a an actual solution for this issue for anyone trying to find out how to get wireless android auto in their newer RAV4 - carlinkit 4.0 specifically works perfectly. I tried carlinkit 5.0 and the Motorolla MA1 and neither worked. But the 4.0 routes android auto through as apple carplay which the car likes more.

      Squeaking rear door

      2017 VX with door mounted spare. I have been plagued with an annoying squeaking rear door for over 2 years. today I removed the body section of the door latch mount and turned it 180 deg. and presto, the squeak has gone🤷🏼‍♂️ This allowed the loop part of the catch to move a couple of mm forward and was enough to hold the door closed more firmly.

      Great car as an urban runabout. Still sad that our Yaris YRS hatchback got written off a few years ago. Nice power to weight ratio and so easy to park in tight/small parking spots.
