2008 200 landcruiser saraha hazard lights flashing

came home and hazard lights are flashing.

I locked and unlocked, started car pushed hazard switch .

If anyone has had this i would be grateful for your input.

Hi Greg, from what I've read on this it could be several things. A low battery can cause weird electrical issues, so I'd check battery voltage. Another possibility could be a faulty flasher relay. The contacts could've shorted. Some are also reporting an electrical PCB (not sure where this is) issue. 

Have you tried disconnecting the battery and then reconnecting ? This usually resets electrical glitches.

Has the car had any electrical work done on it lately, such as the installation of an aftermarket alarm ?

I'd be interested to know the cause to. Seems to be a common problem in the Landcruiser range.

I have a similar problem with my 2019 Sahara. Hazard lights come on by themselves, when it’s parked and locked or not locked and it’s also happened whilst driving!? Not the battery
