It's time for me to change my tyres. Thinking to do a plus zero. I will need some input about the sizes.

Currently OE is 215/60-16, would like to upgrade to 215/55-16 or 225/55-16.

Has anyone done this kind of upgrades before? And what size did you go with?

Yes, rim size still 16'.

You could probably get away with the 225/55-R16 as the overall profile may not change so much compared to the stock tyre.

It's when you like for like on width but choose a lower profile is when it can look a bit funny. You will have more gap between tyre and guard. This will then have you thinking to get it lowered and you start going down the modification rabbit hole.

Speak to a tyre expert and ask them about the 225/55 combo. I think this would be your best bet.
