We have too many cars!!!  Purchased at end of initial lease, (about 1992), it has been well used and looked after. It is still a great driver, but it has some rust issues, so we won't sell it registered. This would be a great panel and paint project (especially for a young apprentice), as almost everything mechanical is in excellent condition and the paint and panel is not major. Its "straight" and honest.

Its not done much travelling since 2006 - (329,008 km) and now (385,202km) -- 56,194 km. It's airconditioned and has a decent Sony CD/Radio fitted. Near new battery and tyres (late 2019). Bearings, Brakes, CV shafts were done about 2010.  After that replaced clutch plate, window regulators, front windscreen, alternator.  Installed a new radiator 2018.  So it's been well cared for! --- We'll even throw in the Corolla/Nova Service Manual ( 1989/1992) and the 4A-F Engine Repair Manual (1987) No reason to touch the engine --- no leaks, no smoke, responsive, starts first up every time.

Rust?  Yes it is 30 years old. A hole at rear of each front guard in body that allows windscreen gutter water to enter cabin. Very untidy top of windscreen and bottom of rear screen, and a small issue at the rear passenger corner. Paint is "fully depreciated" 🙂

Its a pleasure to drive!!! Cruises nicely with A/C on and windows up in QLD summertime. The few km it has travelled since 2006 have been mostly freeway driving and its a pleasant drive (and eager) at 100Kph. Its aligned and balanced. It has an occasional jump at low speed ( 40kph) - maybe a distributor advance sticking, or perhaps the carby needs dismantling and cleaning - but its only a minor issue. After all  it has had its 30th birthday!!

Its located in Logan City, Brisbane.  It is not registered, (rego just expired) and NO roadworthy. Happy to negotiate an attractive price.  Think  $900.00, considering tyres, battery and manuals included. Would consider an offer.

Hello,

Im hoping your still on this forum as Im just looking for some advise on purchasing a 1992 Toyota Corolla SE Twin Cam. Ive done some research as the seller has mentioned the timing belt and ignition module require replacing. It`s already done 141,000kms, seller is the 2nd owner. Would you have any advise/warnings on buying a car this age? Im looking to downsize to a reliable little car that can get me from A to B probably doing about 222kms a week to and from work.

Much appreciated :) Sonja
