Hi,

My Dad has a 2016 Landcruiser Sahara.  In the manual, it talks about tyre pressure reading being displayed / transmitted to the dash computer(?), but my Dad says that the dealer never fitted the sensors to the car - apparently Toyota Australia didn't supply them - it was only for over seas markets.

Is there any way to buy these and fit them to the car?  Where do I start looking for them or does anyone have any suggestions on what brand / type needs to be fitted?

Thanks,

Andy.

I can't say for sure if the Australian delivered models had tyre pressure sensors or not, and I can't see why they wouldn't either. A Landcruiser Sahara is not a cheap vehicle and one would imagine it should there if it states it in the handbook right ?

I would first start a conversation with Toyota Spare parts dep't and offer your VIN number. They can check your details in their data base and probably dispel the mystery of the missing sensors.

The pressure sensors are obviously mounted inside the wheel and there is a remote receiver that communicates the information back to the vehicle's ECU.

Have you tried removing a tyre to see if there is such a device fitted ? It's possible they may well be and the receiver could be faulty. Worth a try if all else fails.
