Hi,

I've just bought a 98 Vienta VXI, and while exploring the functions, I've accidentally set off the factory fitted alarm. In order not to have angry neighbours knocking at my door, I've disconnected the battery, but I think the alarm will sound off once I reconnect it again.

How can I reset the alarm without the remote? I bought this car with original master key but a non-functioning remote. Also, anyone knows the cost of replacing a remote?

Thanks!

Doh ....

Ring the dealer and ask

or Ring Toyota and ask

Or try to connect again it again, errrr look in the book.

I think it needs the remote to reset, orr try starting putting the key in the ignition that will deactivate the imobiliser/alarm I think.
