Low Idle 2004 Hilux KZN165.

My Hilux, 2004, Dual Cab, SR5, 1KZ-TE, 240 000km, has gradually had the idle lower over the last ten years or so. It now idles at about 750 with air con not running and obviously a bit more, 800, when it's on. I'm in Mackay so the higher revs are needed for the heat. I've tried lifting the pedal off the floor to help, zip tie around the throttle arm,  but it shuts it down to idle and has to be restarted. Checked a few of the hoses and they seem fine.

Any ideas on how to fix this? Surely not the first time this has happened.

That wouldnt be electronic try adjusting at the pump where the throttle cable is located

Had a good look over it. Definitely no cable there. I'm familiar with the cable ones. Had an old LN106 Hilux. It's certainly a lot easier with those older ones.

I wonder if you got your self a Bluetooth OBDII reader whether this is the sort of thing you could adjust with an phone app?

Can't say i'm familiar with that. I'll look into it though. Might be just the trick.

Just had a look. Only Toyota 3.0 lt diesels after 2007. Anymore ideas?
