Hi folks,

First post here 👋

I'm finally a Toyota owner- buying a 2006 HIACE KDH200R LWB.

The radio is missing, so I'd like to replace with an original one (for Radio and AUX).

I believe my HiAce had: PZQ60-00021
Replacement radio: Toyota Yaris radio (PZQ60-52010)

Will the Yaris radio (also a PZQ60-xxxx model) work in my HiAce? Is it likely to ask for the radio PIN code?

Thanks :)

Hi,

Unless you are totally committed to originality, you could buy a generic radio, off eBay, for less that $100. They have many features such as USB, AUX, SD card, FM, and maybe AM radio, bluetooth and probably others I can't remember.

Thanks Herb, not so committed to originality- but a friend has one spare and will give it to me for free. They live a little far, so figuring out if it's worth the drive

Hi again,

Nice of your friend to offer the radio.

Any reasonably modern radio, from the 80s onward will work, just make sure you know which wire is which. The physical dimensions are the same, made to DIN specs.
