I have bought a new Corolla Cross GXL hybrid.

The road noise on course bitumen sounds like rolling thunder.  I can't hear the radio when it starts.  It's very quiet on hot mix bitumen.  I have Yokohame blue earth tyres that are supposed to be one of quietest on the market.

Does anyone else have this problem and how to fix it?  Should I spray all underneath with sound deadening?

TIA

As a suggestion, you could considered using the following product or something similar for installation in the wheel well area. The inner wheel plastic covers would have to be temporarily removed so that the sound absorbing material can be attached against the cabin wall.
