1991 corolla 4Sale - Corolla Hatch SE 54AE92 5Sp Manual "1600" cc ex Factory June 1991
Hello, Im hoping your still on this forum as Im just looking for some advise on purchasing a 1992 Toyota Corolla SE Twin Cam. Ive done some research as the seller has mentioned the timing belt and ignition module require replacing. It`s already done 141,000kms, seller is the 2nd owner. Would you have any advise/warnings on buying a car this age? Im looking to downsize to a reliable little car that can get me from A to B probably doing about 222kms a week to and from work. 2019 Kluger 2WD Transmission whine
Hi our 2018 Kluger AWD developed a whirring sound in the transmission/transfer case at 115,000 kms in June of this year. 2024, it’s always been serviced on time and also had extra engine oil changes in between so every 5000kms. I took it to Toyota in Tanunda SA and paid $160 to get it assessed and they picked up the noise and they said to monitor it, its coming from the driveline and some noise isn’t unusual for this model. I asked if they can check the transmission fluid which they said was a bit dark and would recommend a change soon. However they did tell me you have to as the customer to request a transmission service or they will never do one. I also had fitted a year ago an evc throttle controller to take out the lag of the accelerator they noted this as if to say this could be contributing to the transmission issue. The car is never driven hard with the evc it is there to lesson the delayed response that these models have. I feel Toyota don’t want to know about the issue at all. This is the second Kluger we have owned having no issues with our 2012 FWD model and we are disappointed we are having this issue. As of today after a recent transmission fluid and transfer case oil change the noise it is getting louder and its on 118,569 kms. I am thinking of taking it to a Trans specialist to get a diagnosis. -

80 series Land Cruiser - Noise in drivers front wheel
I have had an intermittent zippy, rumbly noise coming from under the front drivers side which started mildly a year ago. Originally it was so subtle like I had run over the edge of those rumble strips on the side of the road. Unsure of where it was coming from and not being able to have the noise occur to show the mechanic, I recently placed a Go pro camera under the car. The footage was captured going around 95kph. Over a year ago, I had a major service where they worked on the swivel hubs, replaced them along with the seals, removed and replaced inner axle tube seals, replaced front wheel bearings, cleaned and repacked CV joints. I had the rear wheel bearings done too, however no issues or noises there. The noise generally occurs on a straight road or with a slight decline or on a left bend, usually never on a right bend. I can feel it nibbling through the accelerator. If I decrease the speed it may or may not bite. It is like fishing, will I get a bite today or not. Sometimes I have to completely pull over to let it wind down. I could go 100's if not 1000's of km's with nothing and then it happens. It generally will not do it if I am accelerating. Changing gears, it sometimes makes the noise due to the decrease in momentum. Any ideas on what the noise might be? Thanks so much for reading and listening to the noise. Best RPG game ever played
As much as I enjoy big games, RPGs, and story-driven games, I’ve gotten really tired of video games. I don’t know if you get what I mean, but I’ve played so many games that now I really don’t want to spend my free time figuring out the plot of another game. -

Were the police versions tuned?
It may be worth searching the forum for that as there's been a few posts about it. From what I recall the general consensus was they wasn't tuned or mechanically modified. I could be misremembering though so definitely worth a search. -

Does anyone know if the police cars are software tuned? If yes, What specs? What upgrades? i.e. brakes, injectors, fuel pump Which grades of fuel? Did the service intervals change? Thanks in advance 🙂 -

SD Navigation Card update for Hilux
I'm trying to get an updated SD card for my Hilux, online seems to only have US/Canada, Japan versions and Toyota Service wants $540.95 for an Australian GPS SD Card (862710E179 & Disc Disc Player). Anyone got any ideas?
