Like mentioned in the title, I got this car for a few months now, V6 definitely has decent power but oh man the transmission is disappointing.

I found a lot of posts online mentioning this and there is a D3 performance turner that sells in America.

Not sure if anyone has ever got their V6 camry performance tuned. Honestly I don't need to squeeze the extra juice in the engine (it definitely can do better), just to tune the tranny to make it more responsive and downshifts quicker.

Your vehicle is now 5-6 years old. What is the odometer reading?

My immediate thought is that the transmission needs to be serviced i.e. the Automatic Transmission Fluid needs to be changed.

The other thought is to check with the dealership regarding whether there has been a transmission software upgrade that can be applied.
