Facelift Corolla

Recommended Posts

I believe it's a much bigger job than to just change the bumper...

The lights are different and the guards are different aswell.

I believe the radiator supports and front end are different aswell...

This is starting to bug me. It has been posted so many times.

You need:

-front fenders

-headlights + new bulbs + rewiring of connectors

-bonnet

-front bumper

-radiator support

not sure if the guard liners and the underside splash guards are the same or not.

Just buy a damn facelift!

Sorry guys I didn't realize it was this much. I just thought it was simpler. Is it possible to get a facelift Corolla for $7000-7500. I'm kind of strapped for cash right now. I know I should look on car sites but I mean local dealer and auctions, does anyone have any near by?

Mate these are some silly questions. A simple look on carsales will give you a rough price they are going for. And you haven't stated where you live so there's no point asking us if there's any near by your place. I'm sure there are tons. After all it is a Corolla.

I would say No. But.... <_<

2005 Toyota Corolla Ascent ZZE122R 5Y

* Private Price Guide $9,500 - $11,200

* Trade In Price Guide $7,300 - $9,000

* Average Km 80,000 - 130,000

(extract courtesy redbook.com.au)

Now, if you beleive Redbook, you could theoretically pick up a base model Ascent manual in the range you are talking.

Street pricing differs markedly to this though as I can't recall seeing a facelift sell below 10k yet.

Have a look on Carsales.com.au - you could prove me wrong :whistling:

Most recent auction results I have from work confirm my earlier comment

Toyota Corolla ZZE12 Ascent Seca 01/2007 Hatch 28,392 Silver Leaf 1.8L Ei Petrol 4spd Automatic $16,100

Toyota Corolla ZZE12 Ascent Seca 11/2006 Hatch 49,272 Silver Leaf 1.8L Ei Petrol 4spd Automatic $11,750

Toyota Corolla ZZE12 Ascent Seca 11/2006 Hatch 44,542 Glacier White 1.8L Ei Petrol 4spd Automatic $11,250

Now this is decent clean stock with one owner and log books - you may find an older, manual, repaired one for less - and is that what you really want? Priovate sales will be your best bet as dealers are not being really kind with trade ins at present.

Anyhow, that's enough from me, you've got some work cut out for you now!

Man, I am bored at work, so to help you out.......

10k Ascent Sport

10k Black Manual 05 Ascent

10k 06 Ascent

10k Ascent auto 59ks

There we go - 3 facelift hatch options for you under 10k. The last one even has decent kays, and if it has a clean history doesn't look like bad value.

I draw the line at ringing and negotiating the prices for you.......my boss has paid for enough research for you now.
