  1. beemp3 free downloads ftw!
  2. why not be in it? :spiteful: put those BC coillies to the test!
  3. im not sure, but is there any car out there with permanent roof rails? i dont think there is.. there is always the option to take it off. Unless you use ur roof racks quite often, then i'd understand why u want them on permanently.
  4. saw a nice trd aurion before.. silver or grey.. along old geelong rd with plates TRDS-05.. been spotting aurions/trd aurions a lot lately
  5. Are you f*cking serious? no, really, I genuinely want to know... First up, explain to me *how* stock for stock a 2JZ is better than a 2GR? and then, how about you tell me how you would fit one in to an FWD (east-west engined) car? Hmm, lets compare a little shal we; 2JZ-GE "The 2JZ-GE is a common version. Output is 220 hp JIS (158 to 169 kW) at 5800 to 6000 rpm and 209 to 220 ft.lbf (283 to 298 Nm) of torque at 3800 to 4800 rpm. It uses Sequential Electronic Fuel Injection, has an aluminum head and 4 valves per cylinder with some versions using VVT-i, along with a cast iron cylinder block." 2GR-FE "The 2GR-FE is a 3.5 L (3456 cc) version. Bore remains at 94 mm but stroke is reduced to 83 mm. Reported output varies depending on the vehicle application, but is approximately 285 hp (213 kW) at 6200 rpm with 289 lb·ft (392 N·m) of torque at 4700 rpm on 87 octane (R+M/2). This version features Toyota's Dual VVT-i, variable valve timing on both the intake and exhaust cams. The engine is all alloy." and for good measure 2GR-FSE "The 2GR-FSE engine used in the Lexus IS, and GS 350, incorporate Toyota's latest D4-S twin injection fuel system. This system combines direct injection with traditional port injection. Using direct injection and port injection simultaneously facilitates more precise mixing of air and fuel under low and medium load conditions for greater efficiency, while high load conditions dictate the use of direct injection alone for maximum power. The 2GR-FSE engine is rated at 315 PS (232 kW; 311 hp) at 6,400 RPM and 38.4 kg·m (377 N·m; 278 ft·lbf) at 4,800 RPM. The engine's service weight is 174 kg. The 2GR-FSE was on the Ward's 10 Best Engines list for 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.[1][2][3][4]" Yes, the 2JZ is a good engine, but its now over 20 years old and simply will not fit in anything FWD anyway. And as you can see from the above, the 2GR-F(S)E makes more power from factory (even more than a 2JZGTE too), it will have lower emissions and better fuel economy... engine tech has come a long way in 20 years. So maybe instead of running around saying how your land yacht of a supra is the best car evar with the best engine evar you will think before you speak. That leads me to another rant, the amount of morons that have told me to put a 2JZ in my celica is astounding... do people not understand the difference between a FWD(or AWD) (east-west) and a RWD (north-south) engine layout? and with that said, have the seen the size of the celica's engine bay... god I wish people would think more before they spoke. /rant. edit: (source, wikipedia) wow. dont mess with mick! you didnt add in the twin-turbs mick? that gives it the extra 300kw on top of the stock 160kw? :P previous car was celica sx 93', i feel ya.. not much room in there.. not for a 2jz neway
  6. Saw a very clean facelift 05' stivo black on station rd about 3pm. Then saw this hot white stivo with plates ZZE-123 driving through duys mt.akina... because it was duy.. with rowells car! lol.. nice
  7. True that. Just a spruced up ascent.. still branded as 'ascent'.. still the same. only better exterior.
  8. got 30k service this sat. Im thinking Mobil 1/Castrol Edge/Penrite HPR5.. suggestions?
  9. hrmmmm.. it is making me think more about getting kappas.. i like its style
  10. Damn.. yea definitely new rear bumper. I remember my front was like 400ish wen i got it replaced through insurance. Not sure about lights though. Get ready to have a big hole in ur wallet for this
  11. sory but the holden driver was a d!ck, straight up. Like duy said, he should respect that its a fun day and let everyone else enjoy it.. but then again.. who was? oh well.. over it now.. now for dedicated track days.
  12. FWD Rav4? hrmmm.. why didnt you go 4WD.. that would of been worth it
  13. sory guan.. dont quite get it? so for my rim setup.. shouldnt really have that plastic hub ring? not good? might leave stockies on for a bit. still deciding what to do
  14. nah didnt sell it...it was me! i was going for a little joy ride coz i just bought a bride seat... ahhhh nice! PM me ur number so i can call you out next wen we have a meetup! never even seen it up close.
  15. should. not sure about exact installation. something like this - tomee wanted to get it ages ago
  16. Stock wheels on. All good. Took spacers out and stock wheels went on perfectly. Stupid rim spacers! Now for wheel alignment. Rear right rotor needs to be machined. Thinking of selling rims.. and then 17" Kappas painted matt black with Federal 595 215/45/17 tyres :D
  17. YOU... ARE... A... CRAZY... DRIVER!!! Full stop!
  18. Toytrd - Did you sell ur car? I saw it last nite.. driving up and down sunshine ave past Bp servo while i was pumping tyres to track today. Swear it was ur car.. around 11-12pm?
  19. What a day! just recently got home. Had an awesome day! We were running late due to me. sorry guys but thanks heaps.. esp you Duy and trung for noticing. Stupid cousin. Rims had spacers btwn rotors.. put stockies on.. wobbly like anything. Stopped at servo and took all spacers off. Perfect fit. Otherwise GG on track for me. My thoughts on tracking.. Fun day = dangerous/possible smash to your car. Worth the 30bux for having a go. But next time better go to a dedicated day with 15cars on at a time. Not like today.. with about 40cars on at once! Esp with all different categories and classes; Fwd, Rwd, Awd, 4cyl, 6cyl, 8cyl and turboed. Slower cars like myself get pushed aside to the outer part of the lane by bigger and faster cars making cornering very perilous. If everyone followed the rules (which most dont) and only overtake on straights, it might have been better. Everyone was just cramming themselves into tight corners and doing high speed overtaking, corner overtaking.. had many close calls. Tracking does give a good idea of what you need to improve on ur car. For example me: 1. Longer ratio on 3rd gear and more acceleration on 2nd gear 2. Front strut brace 3. Front sway bar 4. Better brake pads 5. Front slotted rotors 6. Coilovers 7. High end tyres - Federal 595s? 8. Bucket seats 9. Greatly improved throttle response 10. LSD 11. Tough gearbox eg. Hollinger? lol 12. Exedy race clutch 13. Lift B)
  20. Agreed. Edge what? mats/badges/wheels? big selling pitch there. Fail
  21. asked vinh.. not really into track. and in regards to jay.. if you can reach him.. he never normally replies to me
