  2. Just found this thread. Name is Raimond. Married 2 kids. Truck Driver from Flinders (wollongong) Aurion ZR6 Inferno
  3. My wife drives locally around home going from home to work about 10kms radius. She drives economicaly as i showed her yet the best she (and I)can do is 13.6/100km. It doesn't matter how calm we drive that is the best we can do. I did have this thing that i bought on ebay ages ago installed and she was getting 12.1/100kms. (keeping in mind this is not highway driving) I took it out before taking the car for its first major service just in case the dealer said that i shouldn't have it on but i haven't had a chance to re-install it. I just noticed the trouble i'm having getting better than 13.6. Any one else has this problem or uses that fuel saver and notices the same problem??????????
  4. first time i got a quote for them the dealers price was $180. the next time i priced them which was on tuesday was $160 have no idea why the price must of dropped or he stuffed up

  9. Hey Guys Just bought some of those slimeline weathersheilds that i have noticed some of you guys have got. B) i think they look cool I have read up on the instructions but i thought i'd check up with you guys regarding anything i should know before i get started with installing them?
  10. it was definetly the first one bra. It just caught my eye i hadn't seen an aurion with one on and i didn't know you could get one for them, not that i will. I suppose they'll release coloured matching ones
  11. Not sure. That road is seperated by a fairly large mediem strip. It went by fairly quick but im telling you TRDLover it looked quite impressive. Sporty looking B)
  12. I was travelling north on Captain Cook bridge at caringbah on Friday. I noticed a black Aurion going southbound towards caringbah i swear it had a front bra on. I dont go for the bra's but this didn't look to bad. B) Any other sydney sider see it??????????????????? I also noticed a bra on another make of car which was i think red and the bra was also red. didnt look to bad when it matched the car. I suppose if you travel alot there practical.
  13. ill send you a pm with all the details
  14. Our dear DJKOR aurion master, I am living in Brisbane and getting one of those unit. Can I buy you a meal? I highly encourage the DIY option first. It let's you learn more about your car and the procedure itself it really simple. From the advice on the boards, sera709 was able to successfully do the job himself. If you're still stuck, you should rock up to one of the weekly meets. That way you could introduce yourself and at the same time I can give you some assistance. If only i lived on the east coast am doing the install tomorrow and have given myself all day, any final tips? one of the problems i found is trying to work out how to dismantle things like for eg the scuff plates on each opening on the doors. Because you cant see how they come off i just tried gently to pull straight off . once you take one off youll know how to take the others off. I advise you guys to try installing it yourselves. it gives you great satisfaction when (not if) you finish it. If i can do it anyone can. I am willing to send anyone a personal message containing my mobile number if that helps. (I found i needed to talk to someone sometime during the installation direct instead of on the forum)
  15. WOOOOOOO. :o How many is there for that much??????????????????? $600 back the truck up Way to much
  16. I am also a bit concerned not so much about the fitting but the wiring up... The cabling as supplied doesn't seem to add up but then I was always a bit slow. Does any power go directly back to the head unit? The way I see it the only cable that would make that trip would be the video feed? What also has me confused is a seperate "Reverse Camera Connection Chart" that came with what I would describe as a diode switch. This shows a power lead from the camera right back to the head unit called a 'reverse checkup' Thanks in advance! Fly Fly trust me its not that your slow it the instruction you get with the unit doesnt explain thing properly. its been a while since i installed mine but ill try to remember (someone will correct me if im wrong). if i remember right you dont have to add power on the back of the head unit the old wiring should just plug in. you have to earth the park brake wire (green one i think) As for the reverse camera you have to power that so i welded some wire from the reverse light on the car to the power wire for the camera. and then sent it up to the head unit to the reverse check up. it would be easier to explain how to install it if i was doing it at the same time
  17. marc2020 come up for a drive to wollongong and ill put it in for you. thats how easy it was after receiving help from these guys in this forum. its easy once you know how. my offer still stands

  21. thank you djim still wrapped with it. money well spent. some of my commodore mates are seeing if there is any available for their cars. good luck i say :P B) by the way Igo8 is the best ive seen. very impressed
  22. dont worry fly i was a bit worried about installing it but all went well . the only thing i had problems with was not know how the some of the scuff plates and other componants came off due to the fact that you cant actually see how things like that come off untill you get them off as far as ig08 software, i downloaded igo8 off limewire and the maps australia r-15 and they didnt work either. djkor posted them on this thread igo8 and it worked unreal. by the way regarding the auspack when my wife hopes into the car her mobile phone connects via the bluetooth automaticlly but after roughly 2 days for some unknown reason it doesnt. i have to connect it mannually. sometimes it connects straight away then disconnects then connects again. anyone else have cthe same problem? and another thing when i get into the car it goes directly to the radio. i would prefer it to play the radio in the back ground and go to the navigation straight away. If i want to have the sat/nav on the screen i have to press the NAVI button is this normal or can you change the setting? I love discovering the functions when i buy products like this so i read the manuals but dam if i can find the setting for these problems.
  23. dont say that nele lol im p***ed off with myself as it is
