I Have a non TRD one thats ridiculously short ie 1st to 2nd the top of the lever moves about 10cm :D  my g/f is making me change it as she gets tierd driving it. (i cant argue though else she wont let me drive her SLK to work anymore :( )

i might go the TRD rout now since they are not that bad! B)

Where about are you over there? I looked long and hard whilst I was over there in london and couldnt find one :( The only one i managed to see was in swizterland

You will see alot of done up megans over there...and if your luky a coupld of aston martin vanquishes....OMG they are so sexy in real life.

Enjoy your stay...oh and if your looking for the best pub meals...go to a weatherspoons (franchise pub)...they have awesome meals and they cheap also...:)

imek - I see you points and im not saying im the best driver around here but when I can jump in other peoples cars and consistantly get faster time than they can ....well i think i can class myself as above average driver ;)

What can I say, its not easy the first time around. It was a hard 3 hour drive to the track through heavy rain. I didnt get a chance to do any preperation. I just drove my car from home to the track. Its not really an official track its actually an abandoned runway. I did'nt even move my fog lamp to get direct wind to the CAI. I did back to back to back runs with the AC on in between runs cause it was so hot out there. I also shifted the same way I do everyday, so I didnt get a chance to flat shift and see what difference it would make. I launched at different rpms each time and was actually geting better. Too bad I had to leave early to make that long trip home. The water I drover through was so high and heavy it knocke off my CAI pod, I noticed this morning. Oh one more thing, my car is totally stock with only the TRD CAI. Anyway here's my time slip.

at least you've given it a go. Now if you want to go out and do it again you can learn from the last time.

Cougs makes a good point though if the car feels funny or sounds different hold back. I usually go out to the drags and do an easy first run with a low RPM launch and then easy smooth shifts on the gears....if the car feels good....it will let you know ....if it feels off....you will definatley know :(

Don't want to be ugly, but some of us in Corolla Club Poland do this kind of times (even a bit faster) in stock cars, so I'd suggest more launch and shifting training, coz the car surely has now the potential to get into mid 14's...

Lucio - No I dont think so because we have proven time and time again that stock our cars were mid 15's the big thing is still lack of torque. all this extra power I have is noothing without it ;) traction is the main concern...if anyone has an LSD out there?? (03mike) maybe they could shine some light on the launching aspects of the car

as we are only ever in that power band on the drags for 2 seconds...the rest of the time we are in lift all the way ;)
