  1. Welcome aboard Matey

i'm downloading the video as we speak :)

Always glad to see new people, im fairly new here myself (even though i havent picked up my corolla yet :( ). The guys in here are a really cool bunch and there is heaps of info in here (mainly sportivo though im affraid)

  2. Rolla - I have noticed that there is a club meets and events section at the root of the forum page.

If you click on the Toyota Owners Club - Australia link just below where it says 'Logged in as : XXXXXXXX and go down past the Toyota models you'll see it in the Misc area :D

    Hope that helps

  3. I hevent got the Stivo to put these in yet, but they are in my falcon ready to be put in next week.

    CDA-9807 MP3/WMA Head Unit

    SPR-694A Type-R 6x9" Coaxial Speakers

    SPR-176A Type-R 6-1/2' Component Speakers

    ________

Remember that a MP3 CD can hold up to 200 songs easily (128Kb 44Hz)

If you go to an WMA player (like mine) you can actually lower the bit Rate and you still have near CD quality sound in a smaller file. you can fit over 250 songs on them. (and if you use 90 min CD's you can get even more)

Also being a single DIN system you have room for something extra to put in.......the choice is yours¿¿¿¿¿¿

  4. 30 Kw shouldnt be that hard to get surely?

anyone got some dyno readouts after installing CAI????

    A chip adds 15 - 18 Kw

and im getting the details on the new extractors from TRD.......

speaking of which has anyone had their stock Stivo on the Dyno??? im thinking of taking mine to ol mate Romano racing and seeing what it really is out of the box :)

  5. Did the rounds on the phone this arvo at work and I got a hold of 'Premier Tint'

They are at Rocklea and they said that they do a 65% tint for the corolla and for $295 with lifetime. (usually $395)

I thought that 35% was the darkest leagal tint? and before you ask no its not the heat % reduction or the UV cut out either........if it is 65% thats bloody dark B)

  6. Well the new Stivo is coming next week and as Usual the scorching Queensland Sun needs to be faught against.

I had the dealership ask me about the tinting that they offer (MING) and I called them up and got some details from them.

I have also called up Tinit-A-Car and got some details from them.

I am keen to go back to Tinit-a-Car as i got my last 2 cars done by them and they have been nothing but flawless.

    Ming - $395 lifetime warranty

    Tint-a-car (Formaula 1) - $395 25yr warranty

    tint-a-car Sister company - $275 25 Yr warranty

What do you guys have on your rides????

Or anyone else I should call up and talk too????

  7. E-Gene - You and me both mate. I am to pick mine up in the first week of march (next week)

I swear I have budgeted almost a further 4K for mods once i get the bad boy. And you are right

Maybe it's cos I keep reading all these post on this forum. It's driving me nuts
The more I read the more I want...and want...and want

I have already told work I am taking a day or two off next week to take my new Stivo for a drive.

    Every night I dream.......... :(

  8. Welcome aboard from Sunny Queensland :) (or should I say scorching after this weekend)

Glad to see new faces popping in just wish more of them were from up this way :(

Agree with lucio - can you give us some details on the TRD exhaust as a few people in here have had issues with the correct fit etc.

  9. illuminati - Im in Brisbane Mate. So is Stoopid Head :) so send the set to me and I can pass them onto Stoopid when I get around to finally meeting him :D

Steve - that would be super if you could send a set to me ...how many are in the set? and what size style etc?

How do you want me to cover the postage? COD ??????

    Cheers :D

  10. Cheers guys for all the Thx :)

I can now be hired as a negotiator for anyone else buying new or used cars :P

I got a call from the dealership asking about the rust proofing, window tinting etc.

I will be going to Tint-a-Car for my tinting because it is better than the Titanium stuff that Ming uses from the dealership. Its also cheaper and is newer technology. And being a repeat customer with them i get big discount and lots of free cleaning products :D

One question though! has anyone got that noise reduction thing that they do to the underside of the chassis??? if so can i have some comments on it please!!?!?!?!?¿¿¿¿

  11. Afternoon Boys/Girls

Went into Ross Llewellyn Motors (Ipswich) this morning, after going to a few dearlerships in Brisbane and then having a chat to Shaohaok.

I ordered my brand new white 04 Sportivo :D (after a $100 Deposit)

I got it for $29, 015 on the road, and that is with Personalised Plates, Paint Protection and Sports Grill.

It's coming up from Sydney and I should get it within the next 7-10 days.

    Let the Lift Begin :) :) :)

  12. The extractor is expensive at AUD$1275 plus postage, but it's a bit of a

work of art and has recently been 'redesigned' to produce more power than

    the first version.

The muffler is AUD$665 plus postage.

This is from the email from Bruce Sollitt the Asia Pacific rep for TRD. He is currently getting the spec sheet for me of the new extractors.

  13. Just got a reply from Bruce (TRD Rep)

TRD USA is a subsidiary of TRD Japan although they hate to admit it. They

make components for the bigger Yankee style vehicles in the Toyota range.

We buy a few products from them but most of the products they supply to fit

'our' kind of vehicles are actually sourced ex Japan anyway.

An exception is the CAI unit for the Corolla Sportivo which they make

themselves for the Matrix - a very ugly typically American wagon.

Thankfully, the engine & the engine bay is identical to the Corolla.

We've been selling the CAI for AUD$470 including postage. With recent

movements in the US$ this may come down a  little.

The grille is AUD$320 plus postage.

    Can't help with eyelids.

    cheers

    Bruce

Any words on the prices here?

    Cheers :D

  14. Well I have always had comments about the paintjob on my car (maritius blue). And my car still spends alot of time in the weather.

    Some simple tips -

    - Wash/detail your car in the shade

    - dont use too much soap

    - dont let the water dry on the car ALWAYS use a Chamois

    - use seperate chamois for wheels and body

    - you get what you pay for in cleaning products (stick to good names)

    - do everything by hand (dont use those wool attachments for your drill for cut/polish etc.)

I spend a good 2-3 hours when I clean my car, inside/out and under the bonnet (levels etc).

It's always a great feeling when someone makes a good comment about your car :D

  15. I have been talking to a few guys from Toyota up here in Sunny QLD and I found a really nice chap north of Brisbane called Jerry.

Anyway I have gotten the contact details of the Asia-Pacific Rep for TRD over in NZ

Has anyone ever gotten anywhere with these guys as far as parts etc. are concerened or am I wasting my time??
