    mud flaps

that looks heaps good ill get some pic of my rear end today ← My corolla came without mudflaps all together
  2. Thats where I got the Toyota bug, my father had landcruisers and hilux's as an electrical contrator he's probably on his 20th Toyota abeit with a 91 Nissan Navara back in 91 which he ditched after 6 months, mum has a Toyota Corona. Though my siblings havent caught the Toyota bug, one has an Alfa another has a Mazda 6 and my twin borrows anyone of the three ;)
  3. 1# 1984 Toyota Corolla DX 1.3 5sp Sedan- White - Reliable apart from having to use a shoe string to tie down the battery on a long journey when the lights went out late at night 2# 1999 Toyota 4 Runner 3.5 V6 -Green-This was an awesome truck, though a left hander (Colorado USA) 3# 2001 Toyota Camry 3.0 V6 GL auto - Green-, This car was decked out as it was the Toyota dealers service manager car got it with 19,000ks on it, paid for it even before seeing it and when we traded it we got more then what we paid for it. We traded this after spotting a new rav when driving past another Toyota dealer 6 months later, if we had hindsight we probably would have kept the camry. #4 2002 Toyota Rav4 3dr 5sp Limited - Champagne - funky and a good handler but interior a bit budget and not that economical, harsh engine note at 100kmph and generally felt like something built in Korea (fog lights and indicators not fitted correctly, side mouldings fell off). Had annoying rattles and squeaks especially in the dash. And if you ever buy one get the auto as the 5sp will kill your shins in stop go traffic as the clutch is quite hard and set quite high. #5 2000 Toyota Corolla X 1.5vvti auto - Due to high petrol prices this was an inevitable purchase it was this or a 05 Camry Sportivo 2.4, but saw this car on the yard and at less then half the price of the camry it was a done deal, I actually like this car, nice looking feels solid no squeaks rattles and feels alot more expensive then what it really is. The small engine size is'nt that noticeable even in auto form, a great commuter car and great in traffic. #6 ????? still thinking about that one, normally get a new Toyota when the car needs new tyres. :P
  4. Cheers, thanks for the advice and admittantly i'm one of those "STOOPID" ones that puts the air con to hot. So I will see how this works tomorrow afternoon. :D
  5. Does anyone have this problem? the rear window fogs up constantly so the rear demister is permanently on, but the condensation remains above and below where the demister is. The windscreen also fogs up so I have to put the air con on every so often. I had the same problem on an 02 Rav and now on my corolla. Would this be due to moisture build up in the interior?? Should I open all the doors on a hot day?? Any products out there that can help?. Also how do you keep the class looking clean without getting those streaks?? Cheers!
  6. 91ULP $50 to fill tank NZ$1.30ltr 6.5ltr per 100km 1.5vvti corolla X, the reason a purchased the vehicle due to the high pump prices. Not a sporty vehicle at all, but can hold its own.
  7. I'm a converter to Scratch X, I foolishly rubbed to hard when trying to get off tar spots and and the paint job looked a mess, I was kicking myself but after three applications of scratch X, I cannot see any evidence of my foolish actions, paint job looks freekin excellent. I found with my 02 Rav to reduce the threat of swirl marks is to hose down any part of the vehicle that has any sign of dirt starting from the top of the vehicle and working your way down (A weekly ritual). Using a leather shammy reduced the threat of waterspots on paint and windows. After three years not a single swirl mark on the Rav. Hence when I sold it privately it was snapped up within hours and well in exess of what I was expecting for it. And as one member was saying, I also park in the nether regions of car parks where no one ventures so you dont get those inconsiderate motorists that fling their doors out with no consideration of other peoples properties. It iritates when you have a shiny vehicle and you can see the side panels are all banged up it sought of defeats the purpose of cleaning the vehicle. As for dealers cleaning your vehicle during servicing, I almost died of shock when I went to pick up the Rav once and the cleaning boy was using a broom to wash the car (an actual broom) lets just say I always make a point for the dealer never to clean the vehicle.
  8. The badge is found on most JDM corolla's including the "x" "g" "luxel" there is a variation on the badge as well but I cant recall which corolla it is on but it is on one of the sport variations. I prefer this to the Toyota badge, its chunkier and more appealing. The difference in the JDM's are the grille structures. If you look at the "x" model attached you will notice it differs from the "RUNX" pictured in this topic (see attached - almost identical to my corolla colour and all). You will also notice the varying theme's in the front light assemblies. The JDM differ from those in OZ and NZ, sport models have a blacked out theme. Also the RUNX hatch has a different rear light assembly which I think looks much better then what we get. Being a kiwi our deregulated car market has provided us with an influx of used JDM vehicles which you an get for a bargain and which are usually higher specified then NZ new models. I have a 00 corolla X same as a 02 model with a smaller engine 1500 vvti but similar in performance to the 1800 but with better economy. Its the limited edtion JDM RUNX Z Aerotourer Grille Not many in Australia :) shhhhh dont tell everyone I cant help that i wanted it on straight away :P ←
  9. the badge is found on all domestic japanese corollas I have a 00 corolla X same corolla badge as that found on the RUNX just a different grille structure, personally I think it looks much better then the toyota badge as it looks more prominent. You will also find that the JDM corolla's have a different light assembly then those found on Australian and NZ models.
