Just got mine installed.. $215 landed in Perth.. http://www.apexi.co.jp/products/suction/po...r_intake_t.html 2nd last set of pictures for our stivos.. After taking it for a test drive, I couldnt really say I heard much suction noise coming from the engine bay.. Probably due to our soundproofing cuz my mate has the same intake on his dc2 typeR and I could hear his sucking even when the car is driven calmly. Throttle response improved a tad around the 3-4.5k region.. Not exactly a wallop but you could feel it pulls faster. For $215, I dont think you can complain, plus its made by Apexi B) its got that nice wooshing sound when you turn off the engine.. I'm interested in how it compares with the trd cai.. this being a short ram intake might perform differently.

mine is slightly above 1k.. 1.1-1.2k

Im in perth... I've seen a handful of stivos on the roads and they're drivers i wouldnt say looked like enthusiasts.. or people who would drive the stivo the way it was made for :D An old lady, a younger couple and an older man which i tried to have a go at the lights but he wasnt exactly interested.. I've seen a black stivo with rims and an aftermarket xorst.. some young dude driving it.. and some dude at work with a silver one just like mine.

you dont really need an extra 10kW more.. what you need is an extra 10Nm! With no LSD, i can't say that that extra 10kW more is gonna be put to good use :P Just my humble opinion And whats gonna happen to us who have modded the intake IF a recall actually happens? Toyota obvious will tune it with the stock air box in mind and those fussy pricks at the service centre might threaten to void warrenties and crap like that..
