  1. think it was around $50-$60 mark about 3-4 yrs ago, got the whole screen polished aswell as the scratch ,hopes yours is not to deep good luck.
  2. a windscreen mob should be able to polish it out for ya, they did my old ba xr6 and came up a treat.
  3. i fit batteries for RACV in melbourne (mobile van in CBD)im seeing more and more late model cars that have stood for a week or so needing attention.(ive even done a few Aurions) VE comms are the most popular at the moment(bl00dy things are tucked away in the 1/4 panel, pain in the azz)anyway a jumpstart will get ya going but the damage is done, batteries today seem like every thing else once trouble starts its time to replace.there seems to be NO rhyme or reason why they fail sometimes ya get a good one that hangs in there for long time but on average im seeing 4-5 years life.our premium batteries offer a 3yr warranty and i do replace these warranty batteries quite often. p.s for some reason they always seem to fail at the most inconvenient time, not when your doing a service or a general checkover.at least there is roadside service on batteries ,alternators, startermotors. getting towed for a battery would be a real pain.ive also found the old saying ya get what ya pay for, so 3mth & 6mth wty batteries are usually junk or revamped and with all the electronics we have in our cars these days quality helps.anyway this was proberly no help, but its a question i get asked most days HOW LONG IS A BATTERY SUPPOSED TO LAST and i still dont know.(qty of batteries fitted into the thousands by now so ive seen a few)this is my view and not RACV its just my 2cents worth. good info. I'm thinking of getting one of those RACV vans to come replace my battery. So what your saying is that batteries provided by those RACV vans could potentially be faulty as well? NOT really what i meant, but we do replace warranty batteries like every other battery company and sometimes we fit brand new 3 yr wty batteries and they fail just like any other companys product, be we and a few others are able to at least offer 3yrs piece of mind.i roll up to jobs and there is know real way of telling whether the racv member has done something wrong ie(boot light left on,interior lights,headlights,dvd/tv/nav/cameras ect ect i just shut up and replace with a smile and let RACV deal with their warranty policies which i thinks is heavly in favor of the member when it comes to warranty, most of us patrol guys just fit em with minimal fuss because we get paid on the service call and a very small lick on the battery(unless we spot a glaring fault like alternator not charging or the members done some bodgy wiring job you should see some em they make me smile, or a few other little things we check, alls good to claim warranty)its worth using RACV NRMA RACQ RACT they all offer nationwide service and warranty.anyway i stand by the product and policy but the choice is totally up to you. :D
  4. i think it looks a lot tougher and i like the way i goes with other black front pieces (front on view looks awsome) nice job.

  7. thats funny Marty mines exactly the same maybe ive got a dud to,it will hold any gear for as long as i like.
  8. yokahama advance sport V103 (245/35/ZR20)around $600ea.lowered Pedders.load rating 95y.great tyre, quiet, smooth, and heaps of GRIP.worth every cent the only thing i dont know yet is how many KMs i will get out of em. yeah nice tires i don't know if Iam prepared to spend that much money per tyre even been quoted $900 each per tyre I suppouse i can spend that money on other mods for the car. to bling it out i hope it never happens but maybe the money i spent on tyres will one day protect my car & mods and any future mods but most importantly me and the missus.have a think about the rubber ive had cheapies before and frankly ya get what ya pay for so if ya can save a little longer you wont regret it.PROS safe, quiet, smooth, load rated, very good grip.CONS cost cost cost $$$$$ (but worth it). You have point in safety - but at the same time too me or the mrs ain't no hoons to drag race the car or speed at a ridicoulous speed and with today technology most tyres are fine for every day normal driving at the end of the day where not circuit racing or drift racing where maxium traction is needed. all tyres need to meet a standard in Oz before there allowed to be sold what it boils down too is you pay more for tyres to gain comfy and less road noise. thats what the cheaper tyre lacks Azza Azza i wasnt suggesting that your a hoon or a racer. Most of the time my tyres have come into play its been because of either very poor road conditions or some other dumbazz driver,im not a hoon either almost 40yrs old, but i stand by quality over price on tyres any day.anyway good luck with what ever ya choose to go with.

Its people like him and others with good knowledge on the cars and taking the time to explain to others that makes it easier for us to make decision. i agree he has already answered 1 of my questions with detail and not a hint of sarcasim keep it up DJ

  20. no i think there good but they are loud, at 100 fairly load, around corners dont loose traction but are loud, braking is great and so is traction on acceleration, but for 30 profile they are reasonably soft so the ride isnt that harsh. Also alot of people said they last ages so time will tell. BUT...they are the only tires in 30 profile that complies with that load rating on the aurion, otherwise i would have gone another brand They are loud cause there a performance tyre and is road directional you will find most of them are loud. i run yokahama advance sport 103 245/35/20 on 20'' x 8.5 fox rims lowered 40mm allround the only scrub is big dips in the road they tend to bottom out sometimes no inside rub a good 2'' clearence but that maybe my style of wheel and no rub on full lock.there aint many good tyres but if ya got da bucks $550.00 to $750.00 each will give you a great ride on almost oem noise and ***** loads of grip.some brands i researched were michelin pilot sport the yokys and bridgestone re050 and also there run flats($1000.00ea lol)i settled on the yokahamas ($600.00ea)anyway i hope this might help.
