yeah, im going to try and document it when i install it and put it up here as a tutorial cause i dont think one is up so plenty of pics will be taken. Is what SD said to help the ecu recognise the new part or something like that? thanks for the reply I also received an email from CES that the battery looks like it needs to be removed for the install. And also do not rev the engine when waiting for it to reach full operating temperature as this will confuse the computer in its warm up cycle. Im thinking i might see a tuning shop to get it installed??

I'm going to have a crack at installing this thing on the weekend and wanted some help. Not for the actual install but after it has been installed. The removal of the old piping and the installation of the new one looks relatively straight forward. But once it is installed what do I need to do so the ecu can recognise the new part. I remember CES telling me to leave the engine running for 15 minutes before revving it or something along those lines. If you can help me with this or any troubles you had along the way with the old piping or the new one, that would be awesome. Thanks

I have the K&N filter and i also have the facelift model. I believe a hack saw is pretty handy at cutting that little piece out or maybe a jigsaw if you want it nice and round. I haven't done mine yet but will probably do it next weekend if not this weekend

In addition to the last post, my CAI arrived today. It will probably take me the next 10 years to remove all of the wrapping but once im done the installation shall begin.

considering you have the Power FC, is ur CES CAI a custom one or the one with the MAF sensor part? So far for me i have done one handling mod (tyres) n now the CAI (performance) So after this it will be back to handling. Hows the Whitline front and rear bars?? Thanks

@Suprathai, there was some confusion between me n xoom as to what i meant by closed. I think i confused the $h1% out of him. anyway, the CAI's are apparently, packaged and have been shipped. Most likely be here within a few working days. But as with all things, when you set a date for these things to be delivered they always come later so no definite date yet. Can't wait for the install though

Also, I own an 05 stivo and the sportivo badges are on the front doors instead of the side skirts. My question is if i relocate the badges to the side skirts, will that provide me with a lower centre of gravity and allow me to corner faster?

I was also told not to rev the engine once the CAI is installed. Just let it idle as apprently the ECU must adjust to the new CAI which apparently doesn't take long. Hope you enjoy yours. Mines paid for and should be in the mail soon

i think i said in another post, but not sure, that it will cost the same as everyone is paying. So no extra. You and i believe HiLift want the 3" all through so ill make sure this is done. As there is a fair bit of interest, they have to make some CAI's up and with the 3" they will just simply make them, so no extra charge.
