  5. just upload the pix to http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/gallery/au and then link them to u'r post using the IMG tag
  6. its a sportivo part... chaeck toyota.com.au :)
  7. Xcuse my ignorance, light plates? wat are they? re the number plate trim: do the metal plates just use the number plate screws? 40 bucks is ... ok i guess...not sure how itll look on a black car tho
  8. Hey looking good :D have you got a closer picture of the number plate trim? how is it mounted? how much would it cost for the non-connected consumer? was thinking about getting it.. cheers, mike
  9. it is only visible when u open the driver side door, its on the body of the car near the hinges. i can't remember what it had on it but i do remember it had thr date of the recall on it.
  10. nah at high revs it feels similar, i never did have that much of a problem changing gears at high revs, it does sometimes get stuck on the odd occasion...its the same now, but it doesn't feel as harsh when it occurs. What i meant by smooth changes was with normal driving, my old one just wasn't as smooth and had a looser feel.
  11. nah, i think its always been there but the rattles were more of a distraction. every time i get a service done they say they tightened the suspension, but the sqeaks are always there...i guess its a characteristic of the car?
  12. its fantastic, no notches, smooth transistions, tighter feel and best of all, there is not a rattle to be heard!! even with music off and windows up :D although i can now hear the squeaks and quirks of the suspension tho, but i can live with that
  13. the new gear knob that i got looks exacty the same as the old one...just shiny and new :)
  14. the new gear selector cable fix really smoothed out all transitions for me, its like a new gear box! :D very nice to drive the stick is tighter now, the old one was starting to get flimsy and loose not to mention notchy. ...and the best thing is, NO RATTLES :D along with the recall, the car feels very smooooooth B)
  15. ahhhh here it is, page 20 thanx buddy, works fine now :D
  16. thanx for the tip :) no luck though, i just tried it several times :o Tried it with a combo of diff pressing methods: pressed normally and all the way so that auto windup/down is engaged <_< mike
  17. I got my recall done the other day and have noticed that the auto up and down function for the driver side window does not work any more...does anyone else have the same problem after the recall? I would've thought that this kind of low level functionality wouldn't be associated with the ECU ...maybe i'm wrong gonna get it checked out tomorrow <_< cheers
  18. Just got back last week, that was nearly 7 weeks :o came back and have been drinving her every day, anytime anywhere!...feels so good to hear her purr again .... considering i was driving a weak a$$ car overseas!
  19. Hope your having a great time overseas :) , my backpacking adventures for this year just ended for me... Do you really need an international driving licence permit? initially I thought it was a requirement but i recently hired a car with my normal NSW license and drove it around western Europe with no poblems. Heck, i used my licence to hire a motorbike in Thailand..but then again thats Thailand ;) Cheers, Mike
  20. thanx guys, just got my car back but the grille was totally unpainted...not to mention some other plastics around the car that needed to be replaced...they're fixing it up now...again shouldn't toyota inform the garages of the correct colour and how to paint these items? they had no idea what it should've looked like...
  21. what colour is the sportivo STOCK grill, grey or black? i thought it was grey!?? they gave me black
  22. yea, i'm sure everything will work out....maybe the rattles will be gone too .... doubt it <_<
  23. i'm a software engineer for the ADF, so my field is fake?
