  1. I'm pretty sure the service manual has a guide for the speeds. From memory they recommend shifting at 3000RPM. When I get home i'll have a look
  2. Oh don't you worry. there were plenty of protons. I love driving through the streets and see a group of cars on the street, all stripped down and getting modifications done The other surprising thing that I saw in Macau was how many corolla's there were. All the taxis were corolla's and even the cop cars were too! and now for an interesting license plate number
  3. I haven't really done anything to my car. just driving it haha. I brought it back from the mini service and the steering feels tighter. Hope the car enjoys the new oil. One thing happened tho... i think the case has been wearing out and probably one of the mechanics twisted the key too hard today.
  4. I'll be there on Saturday for the meet. Can't wait to see everyone again
  5. Wow has it been a long time since i've been on this forum. I've recently been overseas to Malaysia and Hong Kong and been travelling down to Canberra a lot (would love to meet up with some of the canberra people one day). Just wanted to share some stuff thats been happening to my tivo. During one fateful trip down to Canberra my front left mudguard/wheelarch protection piece of plastic go ripped off and thus left my pod filter exposed to the elements. Not very happy. Cost me about $130 to get a replacement and get it fitted. I'm planning to take my tivo down to track next month but i'm really not sure about it because I've never been before At the moment I'm going to be saving up for springs and exhaust and i'm looking around for some options 1 problem that I have is that whenever i'm at 3k RPM i hear a whining noise from the engine. Any thoughts as to what this could be? I also have a mini service tomorrow. Oil change, oil filter change, wheel balance/alignment/rotation. Thanks for reading! Azz Malaysian modding scene says hi!
  6. Spotted i Think Brad? on Winson Rd heading towards parra tonight. Blue/Black tivo, HID's twin tip exhaust
  7. Spotted silver sportivo at north rocks 7-11 at 8.15pm ish tonight. looked stock with an exhaust. number plate was black XX - XXX style
  8. Just found this while watching youtube Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load!Love the sound of lift. Looks like somewhere in Penrith?
  9. Spotted a sedan zze122 corolla with custom front bumper and full body kit. I think it was in eastwood? can't rememeber where I saw it. number plate was ??-88-88
  10. So!!!!! Finally the internet has been restored. Telstra came on monday and looked at our line. Went away for 1.5 hours, came back and said "its tpg's fault" and went away. So called up tpg and told them what telstra said and they said they will look into it. then today the internet came back! so it was tpgs fault in the end. Also the connection speed increased from 5000 kb/s to 6000kb/s so i'm happy with that
  11. Lol fastest internet in Sydney? well firstly you have to know that UTS is its own isp. Secondly on a good day I downloaded 700 mb file in about 1-2 mins. (ubuntu 9.10) so yeah go figure =) On topic. still haven't heard anything from telstra. They said they will be looking at the problem on monday....
  12. Yeah I agree that TPG aren't bad as long as they don't have any problems lol. I reckon their customer care is quite good compared to others like say Optus. D35 I go to UTS studying engineering. That makes me wonder. Anyone else go there? Ps leaving uni now so that means no more replys from me till i get the net working at home or till i get into uni tomorrow
  13. Oh god telstra. I was with them on cable before adsl and boy was it a pain. I hate how they count upload as part of your download quota as well. really annoying. I guess one thing good with tpg is that they don't do that. I've been with tpg for like 5 years and I really have no bad things to say about them besides the random dropouts which are starting to get annoying. Other than that I'm happy with their plans and the speeds i'm getting are decent enough (about 500kb/s max) Lol dial up. With the fibre optic i doubt there will be as many drop outs and I can tell from experience that its dam fast. However the cable itself is so dam fragile. I was thinking of going to another isp like internode or iinet but none of their plans come remotely as good as tpg. =(
  14. I know what you mean. Just to add. Apparently I'm 4.5 kms from the exchange so i'm getting horrible speeds and frequent discunnections. But i'm living with that so don't care about that too much. TPG internet deals are so good but they can't handle the volume of ppl signing up. Also my cousin who lives in HK has an unlimited internet plan and can download at speeds greater than 10Mb/s (megabytes). He downloads bluray dvd rips now instead of the normal 700mb dvd rips lol. How slow is australia. Tho we are advancing a bit. Mccas is now providing free wireless at least. Tho you go overseas anywhere and the mojority of the cities have had this service ages ago
  15. Hey all, So i've been having problems with my isp recently (TPG). Heres the story Last tuesday (melbourne cup day) internet went down. no internet light on modem. So I wait for a while thinking it could be the heat affecting the line or something. A while later still not up so I decide to call TPG. Called up TPG (after waiting 30 mins on hold) and they told me to do the basic troubleshooting that i had already done ie. reset modem, connect modem to main telephone outlet, use another modem etc. Said there was nothing wrong with their line. Fair enough. He said he'd do a line test and call me back on my mobile. Waited whole night and got no phone call back. TPG customer service works till late. Next day called them back and they asked me to do the same troubleshooting again and the net still did not work and they said they will escalate this problem to the engineers and will get abck to us within 24-48 hours..... Thursday didn't have time to call them but the problem was not fixed. Friday came and they had not called me back. getting annoyed. Called them and they said they could not find a problem on their side. Oh and then asked me to do the same bloody troubleshooting again... Then had a go with them and spoke to their manager and they only decided that they would send a technician to our place to see what was wrong after me telling them that there was nothing wrong with our side for the past couple of days. The annoying thing was that they said they could not send someone out to us over the weekends cause their technicians don't work on weekends. The best they could do was lodge a job request on monday morning and a technician could be sendt to our place on monday hopefully. So coped with not having the net over the weekend. Not too bad but was an inconvience as I have exams coming up and have you ever watched a movie and thought "hmmm I wonder what over movies he/she has been in. I know! i'll imdb them!" yes yes haha. So monday comes along and haven't heard anything from TPG. So call them up in the morning and they said that they just put the job request in but they don't know when someone can come.... So talked to the manager made a huge fuss cause this is really unacceptable and got someone to come between 11-1 yay. Technician comes asks us about our troubleshooting issues, what modem are u using? did your internet work before yadda yadda. Tests our line with his modem. Doesn't work surprise surprise. gets out his line testing equipment and tells us its not tpg's fault but telstra's and they have to lodge the results in with telstra and telstra will try to fix the issue "within the week"......... at this point my dad is really ****** and has a go with the technician (so embarassed -.-" the technican couldn't have been more than early 20's) but dad made the point that tpg was to call us immediately when they knew anything. Later that night they call us saying that it wasn't our fault or tpg's fault but telstras fault for sure from the exchange or somewhere. So now we're still waiting for telstra to get back to us and fix the problem. Had to come into uni and use their internet. So yeah thats my little rant. Have any of you guys experienced any problems with your isps? ps sorry for bad grammar and typos. uni's firefox doesn't have any dictionaries installed to do the auto spellcheck
  16. mmm they look awesome. what a nice surprise. After not having internet for a week and coming on and seeing these here =D ps i never recieved any emails from you since the first one you sent O_O
  17. I just bought an eonon double din headunit and fit it into my car. It doesn't fit perfectly and u'll need to modify the fascia a bit but for $280, it has all those features that you want and best of all, it works lol. Surprising coming from a cheap china brand one.
  18. Thanks for your replys guys. i'll go have a look at JB tomorrow =D
  19. What are they called if I want to look for one on ebay or something?
  20. Haha thanks! Tho now I need to fill in the sides. I was thinking of... actually i have no idea. Duct tape? paper? Fibreglass kit? Expanding foam?
  21. Problem solved: http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...mp;#entry358868 Did a lot of grinding and sawing
  22. After a few hours of using my dremel to grind the dam fascia. I decided to chop off the top of it and now the end result
  23. Yeah I was thinking of doing that Brad. Do pick and pull have facelift corollas? I know i've been down to pick and payless and they have none. On a side note. I keep seeing you on North Rocks road. Dam your levin looks nice
