  1. I'm amazed that this is still around, even given the fact it's not a straight forward fit. People will spend $4-5K on a paint job, god knows how much on a body kit, tints, stereo etc. but a genuine supercharger made specifically for your car that you can't normally buy for less than $10K and nobody wants it!
  2. Sweet, that's would I thought. I'll have to cross the bridge when the times comes I guess. What will you do when you need to get some tyres? Get a 3rd set of rims? :P You could sell the others off and it would be a cheaper way of doing things!
  3. Even better, cheers! Still might get the TRD ones though
  4. I have noticed a few creaks coming from mine now which only happen on rough roads. If the music is low enough I know it's there and can hear it. It's starting to annoy me even more now. Because I know it's there and it's a problem I know want it fixed. Like others I'm not confident about taking it to Toyota to have the dash removed though :(
  5. I like bits and pices from some of the cars but I'm not keen on the whole lets make it lokk like a lowered lexus look. The green one certainly is different and is growing on me though......
  6. I've just found these mats for for ~$100 and come in black or stone with 'Aurion' embedded into them. If you don't want to sheel out for TRD ones and don't want 'Sportivo' on there either they may be a viable alternative. Look here
  7. My car didn't come with mats and I need to get some. I'd rather some plain ones than ones with sportivo written on them. $200 is pretty steep for car mats but like DJKOR I can be a bit picky about these things so will probably end up with TRD ones. I wonder if we'd get them any cheaper buying a few sets together....
  8. Cheers fot the info. but I'm a little confused. Are you saying for the high cost of the 4 tyres was so much that you got a new 20" wheel/tyre package for not much extra? Or are you saying that getting a 20" tyre is cheaper than getting a 19" in the size to fit the standard TRD rim? I really like the TRD rims and want to keep them so may have to bite the bullet as far as tyre's go.....
  9. Just found this thread. Good work DJKOR at the strip, they are excellent times for a standard family car! I'm sure under the right conditions and with a few tweaks you'd be able to sneak into the 13's :)
  10. They aren't my taste in wheels but as others have said as long as you like them it's what counts :)
  11. I noticed he was running them. I was using them on my WRX for a while and found them to be excellent too. I can't compare road noise with the Dunlop though as they are on a completerly different car. For $450 I would be more than happy to chuck Potenza's on :)
  12. The tyres supplied on a TRD are excellent and are considered top end. They are Dunlop Sport Maxx. The standard size for the TRD tyres is 245/35/19 and they are anything but cheap. The best price I have been quoted so far is $518 a corner. They do seem to be a very good tyre though. I read a few reviews that said they were noisy but they are more than acceptable in my book. Kumho and Hankook aren't considered by anyone to be 'very good' tyres. They do a reasonable job at a budget price but are no competition for the Dunlop/Bridgestone/Michelin offerings.
  13. I can't believe a tyre/wheel supplier would tell you to stay away from a competitor. How unusual...... The lenso's look ace, my second favourite would be the Advanti Tenzo :) Good luck with your search.
  14. Looks nice, I'm thinking of sorting something similar for mine :)
  15. I know this is only spam but for anyone actually thinking of doing this I have added to some of the above post B)
  16. The Supra is a great car and is amazingly reliable. It has the same internals as the TT but lower compression and a lot less stress (even the TT's can be seriously modified before internal mods are required). The DC5 is a great car also, but a different beast. Then again it's newer. Reliability wise I wouldn't be concerned about getting a Supra at all. I wouldn't bother with the FTO, but that's because I've never really been keen on them. From all reports I've heard they have been reliable.
  17. If I find m,yself with enough time I may have a go myself. Failing that I may just take the parts to a painter and get them done there. If/when I do it I'll be sure to get some pics and post them up :)
  18. Just read the posts referred to from the FAQ and that answers it nicely. Panel filter it will be :)
  19. My concern with these is that I've never seen one fitted that hasn't been noticable and therefore looked cheap. Thanks for the link though, I didn't even know they were available :)
  20. I'm looking for a K&N filter for mine too. I really want CAI though but don't know the ins and out's of fitting one to an Aurion..... If I find anymore info. I'll post up :)
  21. I did it before in a Supre I had a number of years ago. It was a PITA because the Supra dash had a rubber sort of coating over the plastic. With an etch primer and decent paint I reckon the lower half of the dash comes away pretty easy. I don't mind leaving the top half silver, just want to make the inside look 'less silver'. I'm thinking a nice gunmetal or black. Red colour coding would good too. I've already got enough red i my car though :P
  22. Has anyone on here painted the dash in their Aurion? I ask as I'm not a fan of the big silver plastic centre section and am thinking about paiting the lower half a darker colour. I did do a search but didn't find anything.... Cheers, Steve
  23. Welcome zxc33, I'm new here too :) There's plenty of info. regarding the SX6 and ZR6's here so you should be right. Appears there is less info. regarding the TRD's though. To be expected I guess as there isn't very many of them.
