  1. HAHA....*laffs at CORZZA* :D cool it dude. i'm blessed i guess, as i got my modular CAI off a motorsports shop. me and the boss started working on my car. took abt 30-45 mins to adjust and fit the piping into my engine bay, remove the bumper cover below to fit the pod through and even changed the fog lights to the white ones. then the scary part is the boss took my car and drifted it!!!!! CRAP!!!! this was done on my car which is still without the strut bar and lowered springs. gosh, at least he could have given me some warning first. finally, i can say....it's all in an hour's work. :D

  7. This is a Melbourne based motorsports shop: On The Run Motorsports 772 Station Street, Box Hill, Victoria 3128 Tel.No.: (03) 9899 3260 http://www.ontherunmotorsports.com/catalog/ they have a whole range of modification hardware (e.g.CAI, SRI, Rims/Mags, Body Kits etc.), electronic "gadgets" (e.g. APEXi, Greddy E-Managment system, etc) for Japanese and a acceptable range of European cars too. they do specialize in Subaru's but seems like the boss will be able to bring in anything from Japan and Taiwan *legally that is* (e.g. TRD, C-ONE, etc). check it out ya'all! :D

  9. soooo, let me get this straight. the recall on my car was done in August 2004. so this recall was to re-do the settings on the ECU to give my car better power? are we able to give the code to Toyota and ask them what has actually been done to the car?
  10. Motorsports shop in Box Hill????? Where, which one. ← OnTheRun motorsports. new place.....juz opened roughly 3 mths ago. i sorta got to know the two bosses running the shop where they deal with a whole range of modifications for Jap cars and also some Euro cars. they actually specialize in Subaru WRXs where one of the bosses there drive one. have an unofficial agreement with them to slowly work on the mods on my car as a pet project. :D

  13. hi Redliner, do you have the recall sticker on urs? would appreciate it if you can take a pic of it and show it to some of us. *hopeful* its okay Redliner......i've found it. a silvery type of sticker where Toyota service ppl wrote the recall date and some code. the recall on my car was done in August 2004 and i have no idea what has been done on it. how do i check as i've scanned thru the warranty booklet and can't find anything on it? FYI i am the 2nd owner of the car and i bought this off a Toyota dealership in Footscray.
  14. awesome! finally booked in next Wed to bring my babeh to get the front disc re-machine. hopefully and prayerfully this will solve whatever headaches there is. oh yea guys, any of you have got your flywheel, clutch or anything fixed up so that your gear shifting is as smooth as a baby's bootay? i know this is addressed in another section of the forum but juz a tee wee bit curious here.
  15. sooooo......the final decision is????? is there a meet up or?????? this is the westside meet.....is there a southeast side meet? :D i hail from Caulfield side.....would be good to catch with some of your guys. prolly gonna have a mod session on my car this Saturday at a motorsports shop in Box Hill. Am installing a modular CAI for my babey, ze Stivo sports pedals and X3-white high beam bulbs) . B) YIPPEE!! can't wait
  16. NEGATRON: my car is not brand new though (YoM middle 2004). i bought it from a Toyota dealership and yes, the car is still under its 3 year warranty period (with a little more than 1.5 yrs to go). the speedometer reads 38,000km done on it. SILVABULLIT: erm, checked and confirmed that nothing on my car is aftermarket. all standard, straight out from the factory (not sure whether is makes any difference but the car has a RACV Tested sticker stuck on it). BIGBUM: err...the tyres shld be 1 year old and i've checked the insides of the tyre and they still have their patterns on it (looks to be in good condition though). these tyres shld be the ones that come with the car straight from the factory (Bridgestone Turanza).
  17. hmm....my bridgeystone tyres are still in good condition yet the shaking till happens. sigh....feeling the crappy shake...like as if i was driving my previous civic then. :(
  18. haha...good one negatron. i wish someone would give me his Nissan 350Z for my Stivo. hehe. sigh, my next service would not come until the next 9000kms. hey, if i bring my car into Toyota Service now, will they charge me a bomb to re-machine the front discs?
  19. hiya all, will there be a Melbourne club meet anytime sooner? haha...will be good that we can cruise through the streets of Melbourne City or not.... :D
  20. Thank Big Russ! Appreciate the info. Should I take this back to Toyota to do the re-machining or shall I just take it to any mechanic or Beaurepaires? I am just wondering whether it will cost a lot to do so? Cheers! Kelvin
  21. Hiya all, I am wondering...when I am going at, say 100km/h to 120km/h (hehe...nottie me doing this on a 100km/h freeway) and then I tried braking a little fast and hard, I noticed my steering wheel shakes quite a bit. I have just sent my car to Beaurepaires for wheel balancing and alignment but I still feel this shaking a little. Pardon my indifference but is this normal or is there something crap that has happened to me car? oh noooooo.......any comments? Cheers! Kelvin
