  3. hi there, sorry to hear about your unfortunate encounter. however, don't let one dealer's crappy service represent the others also. i don't know where you are residing in but in the SE Suburbs...there's Lane Toyota and they are pretty good, i might say. take it easy...i was once in the Honda Clan too until i got hold of me 'stivo. no regrets after that bro. :)

  7. [VIC] not sure whether he's a member of this forum or not. saw him on Princes Highway intersecting with Wellington Road. (at that time, my friend was driving his blue Ford ST170 behind me). the dude is driving a silver facelifted stivo with modded mufflers (dang, it sounds a lil loud) and its lowered. besides that....chinese music is blaring out of his wound down windows. anyone in particular?
  8. seriously, take it back to Toyota and ask them to re-adjust your clutch. they did it on mine.....and i rev'ved it up like mad during my ECU reset and there were no problems with high revs gear shifting. ;) please let us know how you go - could you please ask them for details, I have problems with my clutch at the moment. Eck hi, you might want to refer to this discussion on the forum: http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...utch+adjustment it will give you a clearer idea of what's been done. basically, my clutch's position now sits higher than the brake or the accelerator level. the adjustment will alter the pressure point which erases the sticky gear problem. check it out ;)
  9. seriously, take it back to Toyota and ask them to re-adjust your clutch. they did it on mine.....and i rev'ved it up like mad during my ECU reset and there were no problems with high revs gear shifting. ;)

  11. haha...tori, i dare you to try it out mate! haha...be the first and maybe the one & only. haha who knows, it might seriously give you a BIG bhp gain.
  12. drat. can find no sticker. sigh. :( will call up Toyota tomorrow and check with them. thanks for the input CORZZA. ;)
  13. hmm.....resetting the ECU was successful, driving like a mad bloke accomplished well. systems in the car all okay...even my power windows function normally....EXCEPT NOW....sigh....my 6 CD-Stacker. it is displaying SEC and i think it is asking me for the PIN. what do you guys think? is there a standard PIN or should i head back to the dealer? :(
  14. so basically, what is the outcome of the PIN? do i really have to check back with my dealer? OR is there a standard PIN for me to key it in? pls do HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! appreciate it!
  15. well, do check the link on Parts Location: http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...p?showtopic=663 i've posted the info on it where it will lead you to a motorsports shop called On The Run in Box Hill. actually the boss whose name is Johnny, will be able to bring in TRD for ya. apparently, his wife is a japanese and he has the contacts there in Japan. no harm to check them out. cheers! :D

  18. hi there, erm, not sure which Toyota Service centre you went to but where are you residing in. You might want to try Lane Toyota (at the corner of Wellington and Springvale Road) if you are staying somewhere or working somewhere in the vicinity. they did great work on my front discs and the clutch adjustment. gosh, everytime i brake now.....smooth feel to it. loving my car to bits now man. yea man....agreed B)

  20. thanks Tony! :D hi goodboyz, erm...abt $200++ hey Eddy, going duels looks nice....but....where am i going to find enough space in our lil cute rolla engine compartment :D anyway, this CAI comes with the "extra" turn or angle (i think the piping is juz a tee wee bit longer than the TRD/INJEN/AEM intakes....giving it juz a lil more torque perhaps?) gosh, once the CAI is in....man the sound is SOLID! WOOOOOOOTTTTT! i feel good with the greater response now once i floored the gas pedal. do check it out ;)
  21. i know everyone is putting in AEM, TRD, INJEN intakes but for me i chose the one called Power Adder by Spectre Performance: http://www.powerflowracing.com/3modular.html you can view my garage as i've fitted one in: 1) http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...age_mod&id=1958 2) http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...age_mod&id=1912 happy considering and enjoy ur LIFT :)
  22. yea vic mart's not bad. haha...and that's where i did my very first L-I-F-T in first gear. sad but true
  23. Good to hear that mate, that's what forums are for. Although in my instance i took my Stivo back to Toyota 3 or more times when i had the sticky gear change and even gave them instructions how to fix it icl letters from Toyota Motor Co., they still couldn't do jack. So i thought stuff them i will just go aftermarket. The steering wheel shudder was fixed a couple of months ago under warranty though, front brakes were machined. the one i went to was Lane Toyota in Mulgrave. the person in charge is quite friendly. i actually made an appointment to re-machine the front discs only but when i added in the sticky gear fault, he actually said the time allocated for the problem might not be enough and i would need to re-book in for the different fault. finally, he sed he will try his best. haha. i was meant to get my car at noon time but i got it back in the evening after he fixed up everything. that's why i was pleasantly happy with their attitude, so i will be heading back there for my normal servicing. what did aftermarket stuff did you buy? a new clutch? :)
  24. would love to meet up again buuuuuuuuuuut.......i'm having company dinner at St.Kilda tomorrow. unless you guys wanna blaze the streets of St.Kilda.... :D ...then count me in if not, i will really need to take a raincheck on this round. <_<
