  1. A few things off the top of my head which can be done 'easily' (ie - off the shelf or easily acquired and worth doing):

    - Headers (OBX makes off the shelf ones which should fit) + catback (wouldn't bother with a high flow cat, I am still using the factory one)

    - High flow panel filter or a SRI/CAI setup

    - Ultra Racing strut brace

    - Ultra Racing front lower 4-point brace

    - Ultra Racing rear lower bars (2x 2 point bars)

    - Ultra Racing 19mm RSB or Whiteline 20mm blade adjustable RSB

    - Offset control arm bushes if your car is pulling to the left (SuperPro, Nolathane, Whiteline)

    - Superpro front lower steering rack bushes (makes a big difference to steering response)

    - Kings/Lovells both make a low or superlow spring. Take away about 10mm of their predicted lowering heights

    - ACV40R/GSV40R front brake upgrade (a must do! big difference over the standard Gen5 ones) or if you can afford it a TRD Aurion front brake upgrade (need 17" rims though).

That's all I can think of for now.

BTW, Pacific Blue looks really good when you throw a layer of wax or two on it :)

  2. Most people buy camry/aurion as family cars, so why pay more for 6 cylinders when 4 is responsive around town and excellent on.the highway. Resale values on TRD are terrible.because they were overpriced when new, look boring, and are only front wheel drive. LOL!

What has the TRD Aurion got to do with the fuel consumption on the ACV40R, 2.4L 6th Generation Camry?

BTW, you're having a bath if you think the 2az-fe holds a candle to the 2gr-fe/2gr-fze which have more power and better fuel consumption (though the FZE is closer to the 2az in fuel consumption but look at the power).

You can't compare the Aurion to the Camry anyway they are two different kettles of fish.

  3. What is the equivalent of Mothers Step 1,2 & 3 if I am going to shift to Autoglym products.

    Using Mothers brand

    Step 1 : Prewax cleaner

    Step 2 : Sealant & Glaze

    Step 3 : Wax

The most appropriate Autoglym replacements would be:

    - Step 1: HD Cleanser

    - Step 2: Ultra Deep Shine followed by Extra Gloss Protection (they don't have a sealant and glaze in one)

    - Step 3: Aqua Wax or HD Wax

There really isn't. I remember the good old days before the war when I too was looking for a replacement to these products. I'm personally not a fan of auto glum (except there glass polish). Your for a nicely packaged, better marketed product. The difference is next to none. Personally, It comes down to your "Hard-Core-Ness" (HCN) factor. Are you looking to add some shine that looks good for a couple of weeks or spend that little more and get some that will blow your socks off?

If your looking for products that you can get from the local Super cheap / autobarn, then stick with mothers or megs, auto glym is just overpriced and the results dont justify the spend.

Going to have to disagree with you on that. I have found every AutoGlym product I have used worth the extra money over the Meguiars or Mothers equivalent.

So much so, just last week I got my delivery of 5L Super Resin Polish. I have not used anything else that comes close to what this stuff can do. I have implemented it into my correcting procedure as it culls the need to use a 'final polish before waxing and responds well to being waxed over as well.

  4. lol... i said a bit of cred - not make it fast... it can still look good and sound tough... the old "all show - no go" saying applies...

You cannot have any cred if you drive a Camry.

You might have nice looking alloys, an exquisite sound system or perhaps a nice sounding exhaust but you won't get any cred.

  5. If u want a bit of cred get some nice wheels, pod filter, cat back exhaust, nice tint, lower it and clean it up and u will have urself a nice cruiser. Some nice floor mats and seat covers and a banging stereo. That will cost u about 2,000 bucks all up roughly.

Not possible. It is a camry

  6. I had the same issue and once i replaced the fuel pump filter (the sock), this problem went away. I also got back about 1L/100km in economy as well.

Depending on how many km you have done, a on vehicle injector clean isn't a bad idea either. Lube mobile offer this service and I paid touch under $200 for it.
