  1. A Hydra EMS could tune those ITBs. It would understand MAP sensors and could do alot more especially if you decided to throw some boost in the equation.
  2. things happen alittle differently where I am from. The dealer is not your best friend, especially when there is 1 Toyota dealership and you didnt buy your rolla from them or anyone on the island, lol. The easiest answer is an Auto Electrician, but I wanted to hear soem thoughts before i booked times.
  3. Ok folks, attempted to install an electrical device, things went horribly wrong. My ABS light is on constantly, Handbrake light on constantly and Speedometer isnt working. I've tried another stock ecu and the symptoms are the same so its not hte ECU. I've checked teh fuses in my fuse box in the engine bay as well as another one under the passenger side of the dash board, they are all good. Any ideas??? Help!!!!!!!! Thanks..
  4. Yeah its only Lip part basically. I'm in Barbados mate, and the Headlights and grill are JDM options, we only get JDM vehicles here, unless u bring in a LHD from america. you might be able to source some if you have a contact in Japan who deals with crash cars, check www.tau-sales.com they might be able to help.

  6. Really now, lol. I've got a JDM runx with a 2ZZ, my partner has an Allex, JDM, same 2zzge, a former female acquantance of mine has an Allex wid the 1NZE 1500cc engine. Perhaps thats the difference you infere, but the 2ZZ comes in the Allex too.
  7. It should Fit. Allex = runx, major diff being the chrome accents. but it should fit.
  8. I'd have to ask about the torque graph but what determine's ideal? the way how the highcam performs jsut looks insane. That almost 3K of highcam, imagine the possiblities... :D
  9. Thought you guys and gals might find this interesting. This is a dyno chart of a Corolla S [same 2ZZGE] tuned with a Hydra EMS [www.hydraems.com] and alternately with a camcon device. This REAAAALLY shows the power of a standalone EMS versus a piggy back like the camcon. The power output is about the same, but the way power is delivered is so drastically different. Lift engages ~5200rpm and that power band just looks divine. Lazy shifting and you're still landing lift, but with oodles of power. The torque graphs werent posted where i got this graph..
  10. C-one has em, but the ES is much cheaper and i been reading good reviews on em. Havent found much on the C-one mounts, so its a no brainer to go with what I know will work =) Thinking about the lower arm bushings too but we'll see...
  11. Ppls, Anyone here using ES motor mount inserts? Or anyone changed their motor mounts? If so, does anyone have the part numbers? Thanks and happy revving
  12. because the problem is the 2zz celica ecu vs the 2zz corolla ecu are expecting different signals so no matter what you pin where it aint gonna work as stated by Jason. This is my third edit to this reply =). Different signals? if the celica ecu is looking for control of X on pin Y and it isnt there, obviously it aint gine work. Hence the repin. = But this isnt to cause an arguement, Just to offer my perspective. The proof is in the pudding. You'll have that soon enough...
  13. We've both solved the temp problem by installing gauges ..... here is my install Northy opted to stick a bunch of gauges on the dash pointing towards the driver. Why go through all that trouble when u can do what I am doing. Simple get an extender harness and repin the corresponding pins. Its that simple...

  15. spot on the money, it seems to be a Euro/JP etc thing they all speed limit there cars, but here in aus we dont really seem to care.... +3 JDM are limited to ~180K just like in the fast and furious, [please dont flame me], LOL. Someone recommended the speed cut defender, but I am going full PFC in a matter of a week. Just wondered as a matter of interest... Speed cut in 4th isnt that bad, but in 5th its down right scary. Car feels as though you hit dog doing 40k. NOT COOL... Doing some dynos in two weeks, will show you guys what my car dynos on our ****ty gas. We've got that new V-Power but its only 95RON supposedly...
  16. Hey Folks, blessings and prosperity to all of you this year. Do Aussie sportivos "fuel cut" / speed limit at 180k?? I've got a JDM Runx and it speed cuts at about 180k, the speedo reads about 187 but i figure its 180k true speed. My question is this? Is the limiter a fuel cut or an ignition cut? Limiting in 4th isnt that bad, but if i go to 5th its VERY VIOLENT, lol. Thanks...
  17. Hey Guys, This isnt at all related to our rollas, but we had a bigg launch of the "new" V-Power Shell fuel here in Barbados. Shell brought a F1 car to do a demonstration so it did a few laps, then filled up with V-Power and then did a few more laps.   18. I've no idea. Finding out isnt terribly hard so i will ask a question for you. Emanage isnt a bad product but cam tuning for me is the real deal.
  19. emanage ultimate can't change the revlimit on a toyota. Yeah it can, that is a proven fact. The most popular mod here for runxs is Emanage Ultimate. Ignition + AF tuning + rev limiter change = a very fast runx. I should know, one of them here gave me 3 car lengths a night racing and I dont fall out of LIFT when shifting.

  21. Get the Emanage Ultimate. they work well and you can adjust your rev limter too. Meaning you can extend LIFT to 8400 or so =) Greddy is releasing a V-Manage first Quarter 2007 that will allow you to tune your VVT like a camcon and its designed to work with the emanage.

  23. I'm located in Barbados, so I either have to ship from America or Japan. If you can get me a site with a lower price then of course I would purchase where opportunity costs is favorable. But what you have explained was pretty obvious, the issue is IF it will hold up to my occasional launching and track days, why might i choose Stage 2 over stage 1, and what is the epxerience if any of all... =) thanks again...
  24. Hey Folks, After a launching the life out of the car recently, my clutch has been admitted to ICU. It is therefore time to upgrade and enjoy some more LIFT. That being said, anyone here has any experience with the Exedy STage 1 clutch? Alot of the celica boys use the Stage 2, but I'm interested in the Stage 1.
