good work danthuyer. now shao, yourself and me can have a sportivo cruze day like our forum members from the south :P i think we have all had certain issues with getting our car. mine was delayed 2 weeks then my new chrome rims got damaged and finally the rear skirt was put on incorrectly and had to be redone. But all in all the wait was well worth it. hope to see your around brisbane cheers m
when u go for your car service u should sit outside the workshop and see wat responsible and senior mechanic does the road tests :P u will never want another service. :(
geniune parts from toyota, which means oil, oil filter, air cleaner etc are actually well priced so your not getting ripped of by toyota. Their labour costs and miscellanous costs during service are where the dirty F*cken B%stards rip u off.
yeah danz, king springs are in qld on the gold coast, i bought my springs there for $180.00 for a set of lows, super lows r same price. They are exactly the same only smaller, therefore cheaper to produce for kings. peace
thats true sharmz however i change my oil every 5000kms myself not because im stingy and dont want to pay 50 -100 bucks its just that if i do it i know it gets done and done properly, my example is a simple thing like the sump plug washer which is replaced with every oil change, well mine was missing when i changed my oil and the service was done by a dealership. my 2 cents worth peace out
im running dunlop lemans 702 at 36psi, they cost a bit but the grip is unbelievable.
my last car a 99 model pulsar had bob jane brand tyres coz i was broke and they where useless u get what u pay for.
cheers
TRD is no longer recognised by toyota dealers in australia, they will not import, install or warrant TRD gear :(
there is a toyota in penrith nsw that seems to be the last dealer that flys the trd banner.
mechanic wise in qld everyone is into jap imports or wrx's so to answer your query there is no good mechanics around, pity
hey skitzo
Welcome
nice audio set up. I havent gotten around to installing my gear yet, it only consists of 1 type S Alpine in a box and a Blaupunkt MP3 amp, leftovers from my pulsar.
hey mate im a fellow brisbane guy also 25 also recently single, coincident or something more sinister? i ve got a sportivo with basic mods, u can view it in the TOC gallery. cheers
yes the plug is easy to loosen. yes i replace the washer with each change the cost $1.00, however the fools from toyota service department did not even use a washer when the did my 10k services. the oil filter is extremely easy to get to its at the front of the engine with good access, however u do need a adjustable clawgrips to make things easier, i undid mine by hand as it wasnt on too tight. i let it drain for 10mins and use the vvti oil from toyota. peace out
hey guys
why dont u change to oil yourself every 5000km?
i have been doing that on my sportivo and my previous cars as well.
the oil for the sportivo costs a fair bit - $40 odd bucks, the filter $20.
it takes me 15mins to do.
i cant use my car ramps anymore thou coz i lowered my car and the front skirt will scrape :( so i drive the car under the patio and let the front hang over the path so i can squeeze under the car lying on the grass
